You're being lied to. The truth👇 You’ve been told the U.S. is one of the richest countries in the world. On paper? That’s true. But this new study asks a different question: How long does it take your life to generate buying power? Not income. Not GDP. Time. In the U.S., it takes 63 minutes for the average person to earn one “international dollar” (same buying power as a U.S. dollar). In Germany? 26 minutes. France? 31 minutes. UK? 34 minutes. Back in 1990, Americans and Europeans were basically the same. Today? Americans need ~47% MORE time to earn the same purchasing power. So what changed Not income growth. All these countries saw similar growth. The difference is distribution. The U.S. has: • More extreme high earners • More people struggling at the bottom • A much wider gap in between So while the country got richer, that wealth didn’t spread evenly. So, successful retirement planning isn’t just about saving. It’s about acquiring assets and creating cashflow. Here’s what that actually looks like in real life: • Pay off high-interest rate debt • Save up to 12 months of living expenses • Get your credit score to 750+ • Max your employer match (free money) • Buy real estate when it makes sense • Start a side gig for additional income • Give back to your community Want to better navigate the system? 🏳️🌈 Comment or DM "CLARITY" to access our entire vault of tools and resources, and let's chat. 🪩 Share with someone who needs this. 🪩 Follow for more gay retirement tips. #gayretirement #wealthbuilding #retirementplanning #inequality #buyingpower
Sadly, the main reason is . . .👇 55% of LGBTQ+ people claim to have been discriminated by someone in the traditional financial services industry. And that hits hard because if you don’t feel safe with your bank, how do you even begin to build stability? Consequently, 49% attribute that discrimination to their lack of financial security. Likewise 32% of LGBTQ+ people stress about money every single day. That means turning a blind eye isn’t an option. We deserve more than “just getting by.” We build financial strategies with queer lives in mind because we’ve lived the fears, the micro-insults, the system that never quite fits. We’re here to help you reclaim security, build confidence, and create a future where you don’t have to hide or apologize just for being yourself. 💫 Comment KICKSTARTER to get our free Queer Money Guide 💫 Share with someone who deserves a safe financial space 💫 Follow us for more real talk and money tips for LGBTQ+ folks #LGBTQFinance #QueerMoney #RetireProud #FinancialFreedomLGBTQ #LGBTQRetirement
A Portugal visa or investment? Continue👇 We’re moving €500,000 of our retirement investments out of the U.S. and into Portugal. Yes, it can qualify us for Portugal’s Golden Visa. But here’s the bigger point: We’d still want the investment without the visa. Why? Because the Optimize Portugal Golden Opportunities Fund gives us three things we increasingly want in retirement: → Diversification beyond the U.S. → Exposure to another country, currency and economy → European residency optionality The fund invests primarily in publicly traded Portuguese stocks and bonds, rather than private real estate. As of June, it was roughly 75% stocks and 25% bonds. It returned about 9% through June 2026 versus Portugal’s 14.2% stock index, while taking less equity risk. Since inception, it has returned about 13.6% annualized after fund-level expenses. It’s also open-ended, priced daily and generally redeemable within five business days, unlike many private Golden Visa investments that can be harder to value or exit. And we especially like this: We can invest in Portugal without buying residential real estate and competing with Portuguese families for housing. For us, this isn’t about abandoning America. It’s about not making one country, one currency and one economy our entire retirement plan. Mexico is one option. Portugal is another. The U.S. is still a third. Because increasingly, we think wealth should buy more choices, more options and more freedom. And €500K is only required for the Golden Visa route. The fund itself currently allows investment from about €1,000. Looking to diversify your life and investments? Comment or DM VISA for more information (then check your DMs). #gayretirement #goldenvisa #gayportugal #gaytravel #gaycities This is a Risk Level 4 investment on a 1–7 scale. Portugal can underperform, the euro can move against the dollar and international investing adds tax and reporting complexity. Past performance doesn’t guarantee future results. Risk level 4/7. Capital can be lost. Returns shown are net of stated fund fees; taxes remain the investor’s responsibility. See the Prospectus/KIID for full details.
