Trying on Apple TV A heartwarming comedy about a British couple who can’t have kids on their own trying to adopt and figure out life. It is the coziest show that feels like a warm hug and there are 5 seasons so it’s perfect for an autumnal binge. One of my favorite comfort shows ever and I can’t recommend enough Ghosts on Paramount Ghosts is a comedy about all the ghosts that live together in an old mansion. When a young couple inherits the house and moves in, the ghosts accidentally cause the woman to fall and hit her head. The fall gives her the ability to see ghosts, and so the comedy of them living together ensues. The ghosts are very quirky and funny. Wonka’s The Golden Ticket Competition A competition show in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory! This show filled the hole big brother left in my heart when it ended and was so addicting and fun to watch! Golden ticket holders compete for a chance to win 3 million dollars in crazy games with even crazier twists. British Bakeoff on Netflix The most cozy baking show that ever existed. The newest season is airing on Netflix but there are also so many great seasons to go back to and binge. Fall and baking go hand in hand but this show is so much more than just baking, it’s about people, passion and they are all so supportive of each other. A Very Haunted Renovation on HBO Max If you like HGTV and home renovations this is such a fun fall watch. Interior designers are forced to live in a haunted house while taking on renovation challenges to bring the abandoned rooms back to life. I’m loving the designers and judges and they’re doing some really awesome designs! The Four Seasons on Netflix If you haven’t watched this show with Tina Fey, Steve Carell and Will Forte yet what are you doing?! It’s one of my favorite comfort shows and the seasons are really main characters so the autumnal vibes are perfect! It’s about a friend group that does a trip every season and I love all the characters and their friendship so much. The Boroughs on Netflix This is an amazing Sci-Fi series that takes places at a retirement community. After a really strange death occurs, the residents start to question some strange things that are going on (monsters in the community?!) But because they’re old they’re not taken seriously. So they take it upon themselves to figure out what’s going on and ITS SO GOOD. I love the characters so much and I did not expect all the twists and turns. It was such a fun watch! Widows Bay Okay if you still haven’t watched Widows Bay yet, now is the time. It’s essentially Twin Peaks and Parks and Rec if it took place on a haunted island. It is a little scary but it is so funny and so well done, and the mystery of the island will keep you binging. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Sabrina the Teenage Witch but in a Netflix Drama series. In this is a dark coming-of-age reimagining the OG Sabrina, we follow the witch as she comes to terms with her powers and fights evil forces that are standing against her. It is so perfect for Halloween and it’s just one season so it’s a quick watch! American Horror Story Take your pick between seasons 1-5 (or watch ‘em all). Season 1 is a classic, with a haunted house and ghosts. Season 2 has such incredible acting and takes place in an insane asylum. Or go for the good ole season 5, where you get a haunted hotel, serial killers and vampires, and of course Lady Gaga. Whichever your preference, this time of year calls for a AHS rewatch. The Haunting of Hill House This is just top tier horror limited series. It is so good, so beautifully done, so engaging. And yes it is scary but it is a beautiful piece of television so if you can get yourself to watch something a bit scary you will not be disappointed. It’s about a family growing up in a haunted house. We see present day and flashbacks to their childhood and how it impacted each one of them differently. And if you’ve already watched it maybe it’s time for a rewatch. OR Watch The Haunting of Bly Manor…
