Simon leads us through the as-yet undemolished section of St. George’s Walk, Croydon, in recollection of a formative apparel shop from two decades ago. Does anyone happen to remember the name of the shop? Kelis’ album Tasty was released in December 2003, and the third single Papa I’m a Millionaire in October 2004, if that helps! Videography: Katie Hurley. If YOU have a pivotal memory of Croydon linked to a specific place in Croydon, send a short clip of you talking about it to video@croytopia.com, and we’ll exhibit them next month at @Turf Projects as part of Croydonites Festival 2023.
