I almost didn't post this. 3 months ago I would have scrolled straight past a post like this one. "Not for me." "Not now." "I'll look at it when things settle down." Things never settled down. They never do. There's always a bill, a busy season, a reason to wait. Here's what I've learned since: the version of me that kept saying "not now" is still standing exactly where she was. Same job, same stress, same wish for something more. The version of me that finally said "okay, show me" is the one building something on the side that's actually growing. Same person. One different answer. I'm not asking anybody to quit anything or take a leap of faith. Day 4 · Thursday, Sept 24 Small thing, big feeling. This week, a business partner of mine booked a trip for a client. From her kitchen table. In her house clothes. Coffee still hot. 😌 No office. No boss checking the clock. Just a family who wanted to go somewhere beautiful, and her making it happen from her phone before most people finished their commute. Here's what that moment made real for me: people are going to travel whether we're involved or not. Honeymoons, family reunions, girls' trips, "I just need a break" weekends. Billions of dollars moving every single year, with or without us. She just decided to be in the picture. She didn't invent anything. She didn't need a degree in tourism. She positioned herself inside an industry that was already moving, and now a piece of it moves through her. And it fits around her life, not instead of it.
