I have terrible imposter syndrome, so I’ve always kind of shied away from sharing how I became a full time author, but after taking a step back, I’ve really realized what an incredible thing it was that I once achieved. From the flood of AI to the perception of social media, self publishing just wasn’t what I expected it to be. TikTok really changed the way that I viewed myself, less as a serious creative and more as a sort of gimmicky salesperson. But that was my fault, I wasn’t using my platform in a way that allowed ME to take myself seriously as a writer, so this year I’m doing things differently.
