I had such an amazing time getting to work with my friend Kate on these photos! We haven’t worked together in a few months and getting to create together again was a much needed relief. I absolutely love working with other creative individuals and Kate ALWAYS brings the heat when we get a chance to work together. This was our first time at @negativespacerentals studio here in Downtown Houston, and my word, this place was everything I’d wanted to work with an more! The textures used throughout the studio were very moody, and gorgeous, their practical light sources worked fantastically with my strobe lighting. We had rented the studio for 2 hours but of course leave it to Houston to have unpredictable traffic so we both arrived 45 minutes late but we were still able to nail A LOT of shots together. We hit the ground running and I think Kate helped me culling through 450+ images and we narrowed it down to around 40. I have to admit - given our time limit I didn’t think we’d get much but boy was I wrong! I hope you enjoy the images that Kate and I both worked on! If you have any questions about lighting, posing, or photography in general please don’t hesitate to ask I am ALWAYS willing to help! Remember there is no RIGHT way of photographing, we all use the tools available to us to do our best!

These pieces were inspired by @sleep_token ‘s “Fall for me” and @dayseeker ‘s “Paper Heart” - A prince who has loved so many, but every time the love was unrequited. Broken, tired, but still holds on to hope. It’s better to have loved and lost than never have loved at all. Each of these paper hearts were tea stained and lined with coffee, dried, then folded. A good friend of mine came by and helped fold them all - if it wasn’t for her this would have taken quite a while considering there were over 100 hearts made. 😅 Equipment: 📸: @sonyalpha A7RV paired with @sigmaphoto 24-70mm f2.8 Art 💡: @godoxlighting AD600 Key with a 34” Softbox and a Godox AD100 as a bounced fill. Four years ago today, I photographed a shoot that still means the world to me. It was raw, emotional, and honest — and at the time, I didn’t have the skillset to do the presentation full justice. I made a reel for it back then, but it never felt quite right. So today, on its anniversary — and the first day of Pride Month — I revisited it. This time, I poured everything I’ve learned since into re-editing, re-sequencing, and re-telling the story. The model, who trusted me to help capture something deeply personal — and I finally feel like I honored that moment the way it deserved. Here’s to growth, identity, and finding the good in red.
