Do you use this Serato DJ "hack"? 🎺👀 It's a fun, visual way to tag your tracks by energy level, vocal content, hidden gems, explicit lyrics, instrument type, and more. Combine it with Serato’s smart crates, and it becomes a highly useful way to find the right track at the right moment – whatever the dancefloor needs. Four-deck waveforms have arrived for XDJ-AZ users - finally! 😉 When we reviewed the AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ, one of our biggest criticisms was that you couldn’t see all four-deck waveforms at once when DJing with four decks. It was a strange omission on a unit that’s clearly designed for multi-deck performance, and it bugged us... Well, @alphathetaglobal has addressed it. Firmware version 1.30 has dropped, and the headline feature is full four-deck waveform display 🔥 But there’s more in the update too – Tidal support, QR code login for streaming services, and the ability to update firmware directly over the internet. If you’re an XDJ-AZ owner who’s been holding off on four-deck mixing because the display made it impractical, this is the update you’ve been waiting for. Being able to see all four waveforms – both overview and main – on a single screen is a big deal for anyone who wants to get creative with multi-deck sets. #xdjaz #rekordbox #djtips #djgear #djtech

Check it out 👀 AlphaTheta has finally replaced their ancient RMX-1000 (a fixture on festival stages since 2012) with the new RMX-Ignite... Proper screen, USB-C digital connection, massively upgraded sampler, and effects that work across frequency bands so you can add reverb to just the highs while leaving your kick drum alone 🔥 At $1,199, it's certainly aimed at touring pros and serious club installs rather than bedroom DJs...but if you've been waiting for this category of gear to get a modern update, this delivers. #djgear #clubdj #djing

How do DJs read a crowd and know exactly what to play next? 🧐 It's not magic! The thing is, you need to be in front of people to learn how to read them - so our biggest advice is: get yourself a gig, any gig! It's a crucial part of the equation 👨‍🔬 #djtips #djing #djschool #learntodj
