Are you afraid...to make a good TV show? Before Lanterns, HBO Max was developing a completely different Green Lantern series called Emerald Knights and newly revealed concept art gives us a look at what could have been. The cancelled Green Lantern show would have leaned HARD into the mythology of the comics, with Green Lanterns actually suiting up, huge alien battles in space and a lot of the Green Lantern Corps showing up. The story would have followed Alan Scott in 1941 and Guy Gardner in 1984, while also featuring characters including Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, Kilowog and Sinestro. The series was ultimately cancelled before it went into production, leaving us to wonder whether Emerald Knights could have delivered the big cosmic Green Lantern story that some fans wanted to see. With Lanterns taking a much more grounded approach to Green Lantern, this cancelled show is a pretty fascinating look at the version of the DC series we could have ended up with. #lanterns #greenlantern #dcu #jamesgunn #whattowatch

I wish Marvel would hurry up and make Spider-Man 5 already 🙄 The MCU might already have 38 movies but according to these fans, they should have made just *one* more.
