Growing Limes : The last 6 years I have been patiently waiting and watching my lime trees that I planted in the ground. A lime tree typically takes 3 to 5 years to start producing fruit. However, the exact timeline heavily depends on how the tree was started. Whether that’s from a seed or as a tree / transplant. Seeds can take 5 to 10 years and if it’s from a transplant or grafted it can take 2 to 3 years or longer . During the first 2 to 5 years, a lime tree may produce white spring blossoms that drop off without setting fruit. This is normal behavior while the tree focuses its energy on root and canopy growth. Blossom to Harvest: Once the tree is mature enough to hold fruit, it takes about 6 to 9 months for a flower to turn into a harvestable lime. Full Production: A lime tree will generally reach its peak harvest capacity around year 5 to 8, yielding anywhere from 200 to 300 limes per season. #simplidished #garden #gardening #gardentok #citrus

Training alongside 2 out of 3 of my kids today. As an active baseball and softball family we train during regular scheduled practices and also outside of them . Today we spent time bonding and working our bodies . It was a little hot still this weekend and we both didn’t want to get it in but we did it anyways . We completed almost 6 miles and we felt good afterwards . I am a huge supporter at working towards what you want in life . For my son his goal is to become a baseball player so as a family we are doing what we have in our control which is giving him plant forward food to replenish his body . #simplidished #momof3 #fitmom #fitgirl #training
