🚨 USPS EXPOSED: “USPS REALLY NOT FOR EVERYBODY!” — BUT IS IT THE WORK OR THE WAY PEOPLE ARE TREATED? @brieshcake SHE SAID SOMETHING THAT EVERY CURRENT AND FORMER POSTAL EMPLOYEE SHOULD THINK ABOUT! “USPS really not for everybody.” And you know what? She’s right. Working for the United States Postal Service is not easy. Behind those facility doors are employees processing thousands upon thousands of pieces of mail, working demanding schedules, standing for hours, lifting heavy equipment, and doing the work necessary to keep America’s mail moving. BUT HERE’S THE QUESTION NOBODY IN MANAGEMENT SEEMS TO WANT TO DISCUSS ENOUGH: IS IT THE JOB THAT PEOPLE CAN’T HANDLE, OR IS IT SOMETIMES THE ENVIRONMENT THEY’RE FORCED TO WORK IN? Because there is a difference! There’s a difference between being physically exhausted from an honest day’s work and being emotionally exhausted from how you’re treated. There’s a difference between a demanding supervisor who wants you to succeed and a supervisor who uses authority to intimidate. There’s a difference between accountability and retaliation. AND THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LEADERSHIP AND SIMPLY HAVING A MANAGEMENT TITLE! Let’s be clear. This young lady’s video doesn’t establish that she experienced any of those things. But her statement opens the door to a conversation that postal employees across America deserve to have. WHY DO SOME PEOPLE LOVE THE WORK BUT HATE THE WORKPLACE? Why do some employees spend years building a career, only to reach a point where they dread reporting to work? Why do workers sometimes feel that speaking up about problems could make their situation worse? And why aren’t concerns about management practices receiving the same attention as employee performance? USPS, YOU CANNOT BUILD A STRONG WORKFORCE WITHOUT BUILDING A HEALTHY WORK ENVIRONMENT! The mail handlers matter. The clerks matter. The letter carriers matter. The maintenance workers matter. The truck drivers matter. And every employee who shows up and does an honest day’s work deserves respect. A POSTAL EMPLOYEE SHOULD BE ABLE TO WORK HARD WITHOUT BEING DISRESPECTED, RAISE A CONCERN WITHOUT FEARING RETALIATION, AND MAKE A MISTAKE WITHOUT BEING TREATED LIKE AN ENEMY! And yes, employees must be held accountable for their actions. But that same accountability must apply to supervisors, managers, plant leadership, district leadership, and executives. ACCOUNTABILITY CANNOT BE A ONE-WAY STREET! Not every manager is bad. There are dedicated supervisors who care about their employees and take pride in doing things correctly. But when allegations of favoritism, harassment, retaliation, or abusive management arise, they deserve meaningful investigation and appropriate corrective action. THE GOAL SHOULD NOT BE TO SEE HOW MUCH PRESSURE AN EMPLOYEE CAN ENDURE BEFORE THEY BREAK! The goal should be to create an environment where employees are trained properly, treated fairly, and given the resources to succeed. Because when you take care of the people responsible for moving America’s mail, you are also investing in the quality of service the American people receive. YOU CAN’T EXPECT EXCELLENCE FROM A WORKFORCE WHILE IGNORING THE CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH THAT WORKFORCE OPERATES! So yes, USPS may not be for everybody. But here’s what I believe: RESPECT SHOULD BE FOR EVERYBODY. FAIR TREATMENT SHOULD BE FOR EVERYBODY. A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT SHOULD BE FOR EVERYBODY. AND ACCOUNTABLE MANAGEMENT SHOULD BE FOR EVERYBODY! The United States Postal Service doesn’t just need employees who can handle the work. IT NEEDS LEADERS WHO KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF LEADING PEOPLE! 🚨 USPS EXPOSED — GIVING A VOICE TO THOSE WHO FEEL UNHEARD. @Senator josh @NBC4 Washington @nbcnews @FOX 5 DC News @FOX4 Kansas City @cbsnews @The Washington Post @WTVR CBS 6 @Fox News #USPS #PostalWorkers #postalservice #postalworker #postoffice

🚨 USPS EXPOSED: $34 MILLION IN STOLEN CHECKS. APPROXIMATELY 6,500 VICTIMS. AND A BETRAYAL OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE’S TRUST! THIS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER COMPLAINT ABOUT THE POSTAL SERVICE. THIS IS A FEDERAL CRIMINAL CASE! According to the U.S. Department of Justice, former USPS letter carrier Destinee Ruffin of Indianapolis has pleaded guilty in connection with a massive $34 million stolen-check fraud conspiracy. Federal prosecutors estimate that approximately 6,500 PEOPLE WERE AFFECTED! Let that sink in. Thousands of Americans entrusted their personal and financial correspondence to the United States Postal Service, expecting it to reach its intended destination safely. Instead, prosecutors say a postal employee exploited access to the mail to steal checks and supply them to a criminal network. THE VERY SYSTEM DESIGNED TO PROTECT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE’S MAIL WAS EXPLOITED BY SOMEONE ENTRUSTED TO DELIVER IT! And here’s what makes this case even more disturbing. Investigators discovered thousands of additional stolen checks valued at more than $20 million during searches in 2024. HOW DOES A SCHEME INVOLVING THIS MUCH MAIL CONTINUE WITHOUT BEING DETECTED SOONER? What warning signs were missed? What security measures were in place? Could stronger oversight have prevented additional victims? And what lessons has USPS leadership learned? THOSE ARE QUESTIONS THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DESERVE TO HAVE ANSWERED! Think about the victims. The families waiting for important payments. The small businesses mailing checks to suppliers. The retirees depending on their financial security. The ordinary Americans who trusted that their mail would be handled responsibly. MAIL THEFT IS NOT JUST ABOUT AN ENVELOPE DISAPPEARING. IT CAN TURN SOMEONE’S ENTIRE FINANCIAL LIFE UPSIDE DOWN! And I want to make something perfectly clear. THIS IS NOT A REFLECTION OF EVERY POSTAL EMPLOYEE! There are hardworking, honest mail handlers, clerks, carriers, and other postal employees who take their responsibilities seriously every single day. They deserve respect. But the people who abuse their positions and violate the public’s trust deserve to be held accountable. A USPS UNIFORM IS NOT A LICENSE TO STEAL. A POSTAL JOB IS A PUBLIC RESPONSIBILITY! And accountability cannot stop with prosecuting the people involved. Leadership must continuously evaluate security, employee access, complaint procedures, and safeguards designed to protect the mail. HOW MANY MORE STORIES LIKE THIS MUST SURFACE BEFORE PREVENTION BECOMES AS IMPORTANT AS PUNISHMENT? We need effective security procedures. We need functioning oversight. We need serious investigations when mail goes missing. We need protection for employees who report suspected wrongdoing. And we need management that treats the security of America’s mail as a fundamental responsibility. BECAUSE CUSTOMER TRUST IS NOT SOMETHING USPS CAN AFFORD TO LOSE! To the honest postal workers who continue doing their jobs with integrity: your dedication should never be overshadowed by those who choose to violate that trust. And to USPS leadership: PROTECT THE MAIL. PROTECT THE CUSTOMERS. SUPPORT THE HONEST EMPLOYEES. AND HOLD EVERYONE ACCOUNTABLE — REGARDLESS OF THEIR POSITION! THE AMERICAN PEOPLE DESERVE MORE THAN AN APOLOGY AFTER THE DAMAGE IS DONE. THEY DESERVE A POSTAL SERVICE THAT DOES EVERYTHING REASONABLY POSSIBLE TO PREVENT THE DAMAGE IN THE FIRST PLACE! 🚨 USPS EXPOSED — GIVING A VOICE TO THOSE WHO FEEL UNHEARD @Senator josh @NBC4 Washington @nbcnews @FOX 5 DC News @Fox News @FOX4 Kansas City @cbsnews @WTVR CBS 6 @The Washington Post @CNN #USPS #postalworker #Postal #postoffice #postalservice

🚨 USPS EXPOSED: MISSING MAIL, MISSING KEYS, AND SERIOUS QUESTIONS ABOUT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITY! HOW MANY TIMES MUST CUSTOMERS COMPLAIN ABOUT MISSING MAIL BEFORE USPS LEADERSHIP TAKES MEANINGFUL ACTION? Watch this video carefully. Customers in Maryland are raising concerns about missing packages and delayed deliveries, while a federal audit highlights problems involving postal operations and the accountability of keys used to access postal equipment. AND HERE IS WHAT EVERY AMERICAN SHOULD BE ASKING: WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING SURE THESE FACILITIES ARE PROPERLY MANAGED? According to figures presented in the video, 32 arrow keys were missing or lost, while an additional 60 were not accounted for in the system. Think about the seriousness of that. These are not ordinary office keys. Arrow keys can provide access to equipment used in the delivery of America’s mail. IF USPS CANNOT PROPERLY ACCOUNT FOR SENSITIVE POSTAL KEYS, HOW CAN THE PUBLIC HAVE CONFIDENCE THAT APPROPRIATE SECURITY PROCEDURES ARE BEING FOLLOWED? And this brings me to the issue I have repeatedly raised through USPS EXPOSED. MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITY! When mail goes missing, customers often blame the carrier. When packages are delayed, employees on the workroom floor hear the complaints. When service breaks down, hardworking postal workers become the public face of the problem. BUT WHO IS ANSWERING FOR THE MANAGEMENT DECISIONS THAT CONTRIBUTE TO THESE FAILURES? Who is responsible for ensuring security procedures are followed? Who verifies that keys are properly inventoried? Who reviews delivery performance? Who investigates repeated customer complaints? And who makes sure problems identified by auditors are actually corrected? SUPERVISORS ARE SUPPOSED TO SUPERVISE. MANAGERS ARE SUPPOSED TO MANAGE. LEADERSHIP IS SUPPOSED TO LEAD! A management title comes with responsibility, not immunity from accountability. And let’s be clear: an audit finding does not mean every employee or manager at these facilities has done something wrong. But when federal auditors identify weaknesses, leadership has an obligation to address them. YOU CANNOT DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY FROM FRONTLINE EMPLOYEES WHILE FAILING TO HOLD MANAGEMENT TO THE SAME STANDARD! The American people are depending on USPS to deliver medications, financial documents, important notices, packages, and personal correspondence. For some customers, a delayed or missing delivery is more than an inconvenience. IT CAN MEAN A MISSED PAYMENT, AN IMPORTANT DOCUMENT THAT NEVER ARRIVES, OR MEDICATION THAT SOMEONE DESPERATELY NEEDS! This is why these concerns matter. And this is why the Postal Service must prioritize both customer service and operational security. I also want to recognize the thousands of honest, hardworking postal employees who continue showing up every day and doing their jobs with integrity. THESE EMPLOYEES DESERVE LEADERSHIP THAT PROVIDES PROPER TRAINING, EFFECTIVE SECURITY, ADEQUATE RESOURCES, AND REAL SUPPORT! When an audit identifies problems, the response should not be finger-pointing. It should be corrective action. Fix the weaknesses. Account for the keys. Investigate missing mail. Address customer complaints. And publicly demonstrate that meaningful improvements are being made. BECAUSE ACCOUNTABILITY IS NOT JUST ABOUT FINDING SOMEONE TO BLAME. IT IS ABOUT FIXING THE PROBLEM AND MAKING SURE IT DOES NOT KEEP HAPPENING! USPS leadership, the American people deserve reliable mail delivery, and postal employees deserve a system that is properly managed. STOP ALLOWING OPERATIONAL FAILURES TO BECOME EVERYONE ELSE’S PROBLEM WHILE MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITY REMAINS AN AFTERTHOUGHT! PROTECT THE MAIL. PROTECT THE CUSTOMERS. SUPPORT THE WORKERS. AND HOLD MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABLE! 🚨 USPS EXPOSED — GIVING A VOICE TO THOSE WHO FEEL UNHEARD. @Senator josh @NBC4 Washington @nbcnews @FOX 5 DC News @Fox News @FOX4 Kansas City @cbsnews @WTVR CBS 6 @The Washington Post @CNN
