Woo chi! Closing out week TWO, still grinding, trusting and believing God! 🙌🏾💪🏾 I’m 50 years old, and yes, it took something life threatening to get my attention. Don’t wait for a scare to start taking care of yourself. Start where you are, do what you can, and keep going! The Bible reminds us that our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost. Let’s honor God by taking care of what He has entrusted to us! ❤️ (1 Corinthians 6:19–20) I’m encouraging myself while encouraging YOU. Let’s go! Let’s get it! We have purpose to fulfill and a temple to care for! Amen! 🙌🏾 #WeekTwo #FaithAndFitness #TakeCareOfYourTemple #KeepGoing #50AndMoving

You know what? Everybody has so much to say, and yes, we are entitled to our opinions. But when we watch something, can we take a moment to recognize the positive lessons too? I watched Tyler Perry’s Doing Life, and it made me think about character, morals, love, and the way we see people. I’m very choosy about what I watch, regardless of who made it, but this movie gave me something to think about. It made me consider what a man should be and how he should treat a woman. Does he have integrity? Is he responsible? Does he show patience, respect, and consistency? Love is more than something you say. It ought to show up in how you live and how you treat people. The Bible tells us that love is patient and kind. And as women, sometimes we can be so blinded by hurt, disappointment, or what we think we want that we overlook something good standing right in front of us. That made me think about how we can miss what God is giving us because it doesn’t look the way we expected. We need to ask God for healing and discernment so we can recognize healthy love when it comes. The movie also reminded me that somebody’s past doesn’t tell their whole story. God looks at the heart, and Jesus tells us to look at the fruit. Pay attention to who a person is showing you they are through their actions. Doing Life made me think about people who are really doing life the hard way. Some of us have been more fortunate. We’ve had support or opportunities that somebody else didn’t have. That ought to give us compassion before we open our mouths to judge. Yes, there are things we can question and things we can disagree with. But let’s give the positive lessons some attention too. First Thessalonians 5:21 tells us to examine everything and hold on to what is good. Govern what you watch. Pay attention to what you’re taking in. But when there’s a lesson that can help you grow, receive it. That’s what I got from this movie. Character matters. People can change. And sometimes we need to look beyond what we expected so we can recognize something good. #tylerperry #doinglife #tylerperrymovies #movie #lessons

Week three, and God got me! 🙌🏾 I get tickled thinking about what God is doing in my life. I don’t mind telling the world about His goodness because I know it ain’t nobody but Him! I’m getting my body together and doing the best I can. It’s His strength that keeps me going, and His grace and mercy that allow me to still be here doing it. I’m just out here trying to please God. Trying not to disappoint Him. That’s it. That’s all. Y’all stay with it! Don’t give up. Whatever your pace, keep going. God got me, and God got you. Let’s make it do what it do! 💪🏾❤️ #WeekThree #KeepGoing #DontQuit #FaithAndFitness
