What a day yesterday was! Barrie Knight's 'The Best Disco in Town' in church with disco and reggae DJs and an amazing crowd of people full of good vibes and friendship - and all raising money for the Knight Charitable Foundation and St Peter's Church! Thank you to everyone who came and who volunteered! It was mega!!! If you'd like to support St Peter's you can still sponsor my Big Half Marathon - link in bio or search 'Father Andrew Big Half Marathon crowdfunder'! Thank you!! And huge thanks to Barrie Knight for dreaming up and executing perfectly this fantastic festival day!! We really appreciate you! God bless everyone! I need to rest a little now....! Till next time! #walworth #walworthroaders #charity #southwark #community

Black History is Christian history. Jesus himself had African ancestry, and the early Church was shaped by African theologians such as Saint Augustine of Hippo. When I first posted this, I’d forgotten the name of the Black theologian I was thinking of! It was The Reverend Albert Cleage Jr. Cleage taught that Jesus was a Black Messiah, born of a Black mother. Black history is not separate from Christian history. Black Theology is not separate from Christian Theology. It is woven into the story of our faith✊🏽🙏🏽✊🏽 #BlackHistoryMonth #BlackChristianity #ChristianHistory #BlackTheology #JesusWasBlack
