Belt preparation warm up: an NG to AH siren to help you build mixed voice strength without pushing. Keep the volume medium, stay connected through the NG, and open into AH like you're biting an apple. If C5 feels like a stretch, stay there, that's OK. Struggling with mixed voice or belting? This bright (æ) vowel exercise helps you reduce excess chest voice weight and develop a smoother, more connected transition between chest and head voice. Practise regularly with a medium volume and avoid pushing for higher notes. This mixed voice exercise targets the passaggio with major third slides on a bright Æ vowel, the most direct way to stop your voice breaking on the way up. HOW TO DO THIS VOCAL EXERCISE Stand tall, shoulders down, feet hip-width apart, posture matters for every vocal warm up. Open your jaw about two fingers wide, slightly wider than an "Ah" shape, and place your tongue tip behind your lower front teeth with the tongue hump high and close to the palate. Sing on a bright Æ vowel (as in "cat"). This vowel builds the chest head voice blend better than open vowels. Use a volume of 5 out of 10 and take small, relaxed breaths between repetitions. Slide smoothly note to note through the 1–3–1 pattern, and lighten your chest voice as you ascend. This is how to sing with mixed voice without cracking. Avoid pushing for volume; mixed voice singing relies on balance, not force. Stop immediately if you feel any pain or strain. BEFORE YOU START. Vocal exercises for mixed voice work best when your chest and head voice are already developed separately. Build those registers first, balanced registers are what make a strong mix possible. #mixedvoice #belting #vocalexercise #vocalcoach #singingtips

One and a half years of using this warm up consistently and it shows. This is exactly why we build routines you can stick to, not ones you do once and forget. Full 15-minute warm up is on the channel. Link in bio. #vocalwarmup #singingtechnique #voiceteacher #ccm #singinglessons

But here's the problem most singers run into: they open YouTube, scroll through videos, pick something that looks right, and hope for the best. That's not a practice routine. That's guesswork. The Vocal Routine Finder was built to fix exactly that. Instead of scrolling, you get 32 ready-made routines — organised by focus, level, and time — with every exercise linked directly to YouTube via clickable link or QR code. Open it on your desktop, print it out, or pull it up on your phone. The routine is right there. No searching. No deciding. Just sing. And if you're a teacher? You can finally set structured homework your students can actually follow. Send them a routine. They scan the QR code. The exercise opens. Done. What's new in this version: > Female Voice and Male Voice are now separate documents > 6 new routines added (32 total) > Traffic light colour coding so difficulty is instantly visible This isn't just a better way to use the channel. It's the system that should have come with it from the start. Visit: https://www.dotssinging.com/finder
