Soft Gingersnap Cookies—with sparkling, crinkled tops and that bendy centre. The full recipe is hiding down here 👇 ¼ cup shortening ½ cup softened butter 1 cup white sugar 1 egg ½ cup molasses 2 tsp baking soda 3 tsp ginger 2 tsp cinnamon ¼–½ tsp cloves ½ tsp kosher salt 2 cups flour Extra sugar for rolling Cream the butter, shortening and sugar. Mix in the egg, molasses and baking soda, followed by the spices and salt. Gradually add the flour until the dough is soft but not sticky. Scoop with a #50 disher, roll in sugar and bake at 350°F for 9 minutes. Cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. That crinkly sugar shell breaking into the soft middle is exactly the point. #GingersnapCookies #CookieRecipe #GingerCookies #HolidayBaking
