IT'S REALLY HARD TO FIX YOUR EYES ON JESUS WHEN YOU'RE BUSY LOOKING AT YOURSELF. Many of us spend a lot of time constantly checking how spiritual we are...in a bad way. Am I doing enough? Am I growing fast enough? Am I behind everyone else? Before you know it, we've turned what should be a relationship into a chaotic performance. When you make everything about you, you will see your flaws more than God's grace. Your progress will feel slower than everyone else's. Your walk with God will feel like a burden, and you will end up exhausted and discouraged. The more you focus on Jesus, the more you realize that His grace covers what you can't fix and only His love can change you. If you've been stuck overanalyzing your walk with God, this is your encouragement to litt your eyes. Look to Jesus again. "Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before Him He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." ~ Hebrews 12:2, NIV Before you swipe away, think of one person who needs this reminder.
