Today is Sight Loss Sunday. This summer we collaborated with our friends at InFocus Charity to launch our new Braille Visitor Guides – a vital aid that helps those with sight loss enjoy discovering Exeter Cathedral’s one thousand years of history. Well this is exciting… we’ve just revealed The Exeter Book’s famous riddles for the first time since the opening of the Treasures Exhibition! So what’s all the fuss about The Exeter Book, you ask? It’s a treasured item listed on the UK UNESCO Memory of the World Register, preserving nearly all surviving Anglo-Saxon riddles. Everyone should have The Exeter Book on their bucket list – it’s an incredible historical gem to say that you’ve seen with your own eyes. Oh, and guess what… remember those free tours about our Medieval Votives that we ran in September?
