This was the colossal “Cathedral of Christ the Savior” that was located near the village of Borki in modern-day Ukraine. It featured a massive golden dome & was a upposedly engineered between 1891 and 1894. It was blown up in 1943. #history #architecture #fyp

We had an epic visit at the Coricancha today, AKA the Temple of the Sun. Thanks to my bros @stablegables & @personalbest_everyday for pointing out these interesting aspects… The Coricancha was the crown jewel of the Inca, the epicenter of the Incan empire. The temple of the Sun was lined with gold & silver before the Spanish conquered Cusco & stripped it bare. Today a Catholic Church has been built on top of its ruins… what’s more? This structure predated the Inca… behold its precision mortarless engineering…
