We had the chance to share our space at Jugendforum NRW with @straptic_official and experience the technology up close. Their wearable translates events happening in a game into spatial haptic feedback, using precise vibrations on the wrist to make information something you can feel, not just see or hear. That matters for accessibility. Haptic cues can create another way for players to receive information, including when visual or audio cues aren’t accessible to them. For us, gamescom isn’t only about seeing what’s new. It’s about finding ideas that can help remove barriers and create more ways to play. And we found plenty worth sharing.
