Talk about a sweet moment! 🍭❤️ Our intern, Charlotte, traveled to Nigeria at the conclusion of her internship this past summer, but she missed our Nigerian staff and After School Academy kids so much that she wanted to send a little piece of her love back with them. So, Charlotte hand-wrapped personalized lollipops for Andrew to deliver to the kids on his next trip to Nigeria. Charlotte quickly earned quite the reputation for being “sweet.” With her darling personality and sunny disposition, everyone fell in love with her—and before long, she had earned the nickname “Lollipop Charlotte.” 🍭 So when Andrew finally arrived in Nigeria with Charlotte’s special treats, she truly delivered on her name! The kids were thrilled to receive a sweet reminder that Charlotte was thinking of them and loved them from all the way across the ocean. We love seeing the way our interns, staff, donors, and vision trip participants love our kids so deeply. These connections are what make this community so special—and this little gesture is such a beautiful reminder that love travels a long way.
