Celebrating our trailblazers! One of our earliest female branch managers Louisa North led the way in 1915, and even earlier, Emma Wrigley became our first female manager in 1888. Her daughter Mary carried the legacy forward, these women helped build the foundations we celebrate today. 🙌 A huge appreciation for Anne and all the colleagues who have volunteered to raise money and awareness for a charity that is dedicated to supporting and empowering women to achieve a better quality of life. From fundraising to collecting sanitary and hygiene essentials making a real difference for women who need it most. 💙 Celebrating Sue 💙 A colleague who has been part of our organisation for an incredible 50 years. Sue’s contributions have had a meaningful impact across our organisation, and with her retirement ahead this year, we celebrate her remarkable journey and wish her all the very best. Cheering on Debs 💙 Running 10k every day for 365 days (yes, every single day!) to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Now. Deb isn’t just clocking up miles, she’s showing what strength, commitment and everyday determination really look like. A true example of the power and perseverance we celebrate on International Women’s Day. ✨ Our Breakthrough Network is a community built on standing together and driving real change. Grateful for our amazing Breakthrough volunteers, moving women forward together. 🙌 Katherine is our Breakthrough Network co chair. Thanks to her passion, we were proudly recognised as a Menopause Friendly employer in 2022 and became one of the first organisations to be recognised as a Menstruation Friendly employer in 2025. She is dedicated to creating a workplace that is inclusive and continues to champion women’s health every step of the way. ✨ Appreciation for Leonie, leading the Financial Confidence & Planning Work stream of our women’s network. She’s organised virtual events with brilliant speakers, covering everything from pensions to investing, giving over a thousand women the space to learn, grow and feel empowered. Bringing experts together, creating space for honest questions, and helping thousands of women feel more financially independent. ✨ This is a glimpse of the women shaping our organisation and the communities that really make a difference. We’re grateful for the women who help move us forward every day.✨ Happy International Women's Day 💙
