In the 1970s, a man named Tom Ogle accidentally discovered something that shouldn’t have been possible — a way to make an engine run almost entirely on fumes. It started when Ogle was messing around with a lawn mower. He accidentally knocked a hole in the fuel tank and decided to experiment. He ran a vacuum line from the tank straight into the carburetor inlet and let the mower run. It just kept going. Hours passed, then days — but the fuel level barely changed. The mower ran for 96 straight hours. That’s when Ogle realized something big was happening. The engine was running without a traditional carburetor and was somehow getting incredible efficiency. After months of trial and error, Ogle scaled the idea up and installed the system in his own car — a 1970 Ford Galaxie weighing over 4,000 pounds. At first, it got about 11 miles per gallon. After some tweaks, it jumped to 100 miles per gallon. In April 1977, Ogle drove the car 205 miles using just two gallons of gas. Engineers inspected it, searching for hidden fuel tanks or tricks, but found nothing. The system worked. Ogle had figured out how to make an internal combustion engine do what it was technically designed to do — operate on fuel vapors, not liquid gasoline. Almost overnight, 24-year-old Tom Ogle became an engineering sensation. Oil companies, investors, and businessmen flooded him with offers. Shell Oil reportedly offered him $25 million in cash for the design. Ogle turned it down when he learned they planned to bury the invention. “I’ve always wanted to be rich,” he said, “and I suspect I will be when this system gets into distribution. But I’m not going to have my system bought up and put on a shelf.” Instead, Ogle partnered with investors who promised he’d stay in control. He patented the invention and suddenly had lawyers, funding, and resources. Then the U.S. Air Force showed interest — and that’s when everything started to unravel. The SEC came after him for alleged securities violations. The IRS accused him of unpaid back taxes. Legal battles piled up. His wife left him and took their daughter. Investors fought over control of the patent. On April 14, 1978, Ogle was shot by a stranger outside a bar. No suspect was ever identified. He survived — but only briefly. On August 18, Ogle collapsed at a friend’s apartment and died. The official cause was an accidental overdose involving alcohol and painkillers, despite the fact that Ogle had no known history of drug abuse. His friends, family, and attorney all claimed it was a cover-up. Tom Ogle was gone — and despite strong evidence that his invention worked, it was quietly forgotten soon after. #conspiracytheory #car #oil #death

One day at the grocery store, a well-dressed man approached Sparky and showed him a photograph. It was a picture of Sparky and his wife inside their home—taken from outside. Someone had been watching them. The man walked Sparky all the way back to his building, calmly explaining what would happen to him if he didn’t stop his research. How that photo was taken through their window, Sparky would never know. Sparky reported the incident to the FBI—but that felt like a hen calling the wolf for help. Things only got worse. Sparky and his wife began to be harassed. Their phone rang hundreds of times a day, calls coming from pay phones all across the country. The calls didn’t stop until someone broke into Sparky’s lab and stole his notes. Then one night, two men showed up at their door asking to speak with Sparky and his wife. The men left. About an hour later, Sparky collapsed. His wife called an ambulance in a panic, but when the paramedics arrived, they refused to let her ride with him. Twenty minutes later, she received a call. Sparky was dead. A heart attack. Less than 24 hours later, several black vans showed up at the house. The FBI confiscated all of Sparky’s equipment and research. And that was the last anyone ever heard about it.#fbi #conspiracytheory #conspiracy
