Turquoise Crackle is my new favorite glaze out of all the glazes I tried during my Primitive Firing class, and might be one of my favorite new glazes of all time 🤩 Each of these pieces had a heavy reduction in the smothering bin, resulting in all the chrome flashing and color variations. With a lighter reduction, the glaze is a beautiful bright turquoise with crackling. I'm for sure planning more pieces with this glaze, I literally can't get enough of it 🤭 #raku #ceramics #spirituality #pottery #cats

These are all handmade pieces - seems like I have a thing for trays 🤭 Made with Earthenware/terracotta clay, terra sigillata, and underglaze. #ceramics #pottery #terracotta #clay #artistsoftiktok

Using the Horse Hair raku method, I made two incense trays and one small trinket tray. I also made some necklace charms, but those aren't done yet 🤭 Once the pieces are out of the kiln, I laid them on a tray of sand and drape horse hair over them. The hair burns on contact, and the carbon emitted essentially gets sucked into and stains the clay. The hotter the form, or the more hair you lay down, the darker the finish is. While I do like the heavy carbon look, I do prefer the lighter tray. This was definitely one of my favorite finishing methods and can't wait to do it more 😈🙏🏻 #raku #pottery #ceramics #spirituality #skull
