How our NEW school mornings look — our newborn is 2 weeks old & she still doesn’t have her nights / days fully switched yet so getting up quite a few times at nights. I have the entire night shift since I am breastfeeding, so no point in waking up hubs as I need him to be well rested for our back-to-back busy day. So now he has taken over breakfast, school lunches, & snacks to let me rest a bit before our day starts. We look forward to minimum days because we don’t need to pack school lunches 🤣 for fruits, I wash all fruits that need to be washed while hubs cuts all the big fruits, we literally balance eachother in every way🩷 #newborn #marriage #parents #fourthtrimester #postpartum @_yourbasicdad

Because when your newborn sleeps ALL DAY long & slowly starts to give you awake windows, we all get excited 🤣🎉 especially the kiddos because they get so happy to play with her. Starting day 7, noticed that every morning she gives us a good 30 mins- 1 hr awake window then sleeps all day 🤣 still getting up every 2 hrs to feed but it’s eat, sleep, poop, repeat pretty much. Around the start of week 2, she’s giving us another awake window in the evenings lasting about the same time. She’s slowly becoming more awake in between her diaper changes & feedings as the days go on!There’s no set schedule as she’s a newborn & I breastfeed on demand all day/night with her. Shes doing great, super entertained by all her older siblings reading to her, showing her B/W contrast images, & nonstop newborn play until she falls back asleep. & thats when you know it’s “time”. Felt this SAME exact pain all 3 successful VBAC’s, & that’s when I told hubs “call the nurse, it’s time!” With our most recent birth, we went from 7cm to 10cm in 4 contractions and when I told hubs “it’s time” his response was “what? She just came in and you were 7cm” .. I then said “CALL THEN NURSE! MY 🍑 IS SPLITTING” & yup… 10cm ready to push!” We just know🤣 #vbac. Birth is SOOOO amazing, gosh I could relive this very moment over & over again 🥹 scrolling through our shared album and found this video hubs captured, & glad he did because rewatching this made me relive that very moment I wish I could continuously repeat. This is us— we are tired parents 🤣 & on weekdays we have a strict bedtime of 7:30pm for all 3 kids. We wish our night can sometimes also end at 7:30pm but that’s when we get majority of our “work” we need to get done. Watching shows while folding laundry is how we decompress, then after all the house chores are done I begin editing (if you email me, that’s why I’m responding late at nights). Then we sit down & “catch up on life”… IYKYK haha whether that’s texting and or catching up on social media. 7 days old to 24 days old tummy time progression 🥹👏 we waited until after her umbilical cord fell off to prevent any infections. She has the biggest support system ever, something about that 4th baby, she’s EVERYONE’S baby💯 also, was that really a turn she did 2x?!!! Monitor follows me anywhere I go & it’s amazing how many times I thought she woke up but by the time I got upstairs, she was sleeping😆 the Snoo is amazing at soothing 💯 After drop-offs, once I transfer her into her bassinet, I need to speed clean the house before she wakes up to carry on with our rest of the day… or the little chores are not getting done 😅 it also helps me stay calm minded with the tidying up I do #momof4 #breastfeeding #newborn #fourthtrimester #postpartum

Hubs took our boys to a Pokemon show so took advantage on our girls time together❤️ It’s important to me for Mila baby to adjust well since she’s been our baby of our family for so so long.
