Inspired by Kylie Jenner’s Meta Glasses ad, we decided to tell the story of Grimy Jenner. She leads a life that Big Tech wouldn’t be keen to advertise.. Earlier this year, Meta released their new ‘smart glasses’ in partnership with Rayban and Kylie Jenner. The public rebranded them with the appropriate nickname - Pervert Glasses. The story of Grimy Jenner may be a dystopian POV (for now), but the real story of surveillance and control is a far more sinister one. Despite Jenner’s best efforts, we all understand that this is not a fashion statement. It is a piece of surveillance tech, quietly collecting vast amounts of user data and placing vulnerable individuals at risk. Big Tech does not value consent. Fuck Meta.
