I had this thought about success the other day. A lot of us want the penthouse. We want the top floor. We want the part of life that feels like the reward after all the hard work. But the truth is, you do not get to the penthouse without first dealing with the foundation. And that hit me deeply. Because so much of life is spent chasing what is visible, while ignoring what is structural. People see the top floor. They see the results. They see the growth. They see the wins. But they do not always see the grounding. They do not always see the internal work. They do not always see the discipline, the healing, the sacrifice, the setbacks, the correction, the faith, and the small daily choices that had to be made before anything stable could stand. A penthouse without a foundation is only a dream. A strong life without a strong base is hard to keep. And what I also love about this thought is that everybody’s penthouse is different. Your version of success may not look like mine. Mine may not look like yours. And that is okay. For one person, the penthouse is peace of mind. For another, it is financial freedom. For another, it is family. For another, it is impact. For another, it is simply having joy again. So maybe the real question is not just, “How do I get to the top?” Maybe the real question is, “What am I standing on?” And also, “What does the top even mean for me?” That is where I am. Thinking about the foundation. Thinking about the inside work. Thinking about how important it is to build a life that can hold the weight of where I say I want to go. Everybody wants the penthouse. But the foundation is what decides if you can keep it. What does your penthouse look like? #Success #Foundation #Purpose #Growth #Mindset

London has me thinking. One of the best parts of having a global role is getting to step outside of your own bubble. You get to see how people work, how they solve problems, how they communicate, and how culture shapes business in real time. And one thing keeps standing out to me: Technical skills might get you in the room, but soft skills help you grow in the room. Conflict resolution matters. Communication matters. Building real relationships matters. Knowing how to read a room matters. Knowing how to connect with people who think, speak, and work differently than you matters. A lot of people in tech spend so much time building hard skills that they forget the human side is a skill too. Your network matters. Your presence matters. Your ability to build trust matters. And if you are someone who is more naturally introverted or just not as comfortable with people, that does not mean you cannot grow in this area. It just means you have to be more intentional. Find small ways to practice human connection. Ask better questions. Stay curious. Learn how to listen. Learn how to communicate with clarity and confidence. The more global your work becomes, the more this matters. Stay locked in with Tech Simplified. I’m going to keep sharing what I learn. #TechSimplified #SoftSkills #TechCareers #CareerGrowth #Leadership

Small and mid-sized businesses are putting real money into AI and only 12% are looking at reducing headcount. So no, AI is not just about replacing people. It is about helping businesses grow, move faster, and work better. Business owners: use AI to scale, protect your data, and tighten up your operations. Professionals and students: this is your shot. Security, data, AI setup, training, and support are all areas where companies need help right now.
