Lore video 2/3 Magic cores are something humans form when their spiritual energy is powerful enough to form one, though everyone can in theory form one, not everyone does. Spirits on the other hand, are the manifestation OF these cores into a physical body, thus making their cores their 'heart'. Spiritual contracts can be mutual, and are a result of the close bond between a spirit and a person. The human forms a seal of sorts and the spirit signs it, binding them together. A spirit being bound cannot harm their master, but the master can harm the spirit- though in Baihu the practice of it is frowned upon socially. Often times sprits are forced into this at the risk of their lives. Spirits are considered dangerous and are forbidden from entering most human settlements- unless they become Lingban. Once they are Lingban they can be sold and traded freely, whoever holds the spirit seal tablet, holds control over a spirits core, and in turn, a spirt. #worldbuilding #originalstory #oclore #animatic #fantasyart
