WeePlay, Parkhead, G31 5NZ. Located 17 minutes from Glasgow City Centre. A great sized softplay for babies, toddlers and older children in the heart of the East End of Glasgow. This softplay has a great area for toddlers with a ball pit and slide - however the baby section within this could be upgraded but still has lots of interactive educational toys! The larger section is great for older kids with lots of slides and an indoor football pitch. Lots of tables and seating available for families! WeePlay also has a variety of party packages for all ages and budgets! There is also an option for an all inclusive party if that suits your need. Blair Drummond Safari & Adventure Park, Stirling, FK9 4UR. Located 38 minutes from Glasgow City Centre. Was it worth the money? YES !! - We spent the entire day here and we still didn’t manage to explore some parts. This park has so much to do and see - from viewing wildlife animals, drive through experience, dinosaur exploration, a train journey, funfair rides and play parks, educational talks from experts to sea life demonstrations! We were £33.50 for a student and child ticket which isn’t the cheapest but I thought it was great value for money for the time we spent here - the whole day! We took our own packed lunch as there were lots of picnic areas. Vendors are also on site for food purchases and all look lovely - but i cannot comment on taste as I’ve never tried the food. All kiosks fill your water bottles up for free and you can pre book a BBQ slot for your own BBQ picnic. There is so much to do here - I could go on forever. I really recommend this if you have children but I appreciate it is pricey. The Gruffalo Trail, Bearsden, Glasgow, G61 3NW. Located 22 minutes from Glasgow City Centre. We loved our afternoon at the Gruffalo Trail! It has beautiful wooden sculptures of all the characters of the Gruffalo and even the Gruffalos child around the pond. The trail also has ducks and swans, a newly refurbished park, benches for picnics and a free car park! If you have a free afternoon, I would highly recommend visiting even if it’s wet and miserable, wellies and puddle suits won’t go amiss!
