Yo! So the literacy crisis is real. I don’t mention my day job often, but I’m a teacher and every year… but I have found LitRPG to bridge some gaps and get kids (and adults!) back into reading. Real sh*t, this is my perspective as someone in the educational trenches. However, hope is not lost. I began giving LitRPG last year and holy f*ck did kids respond well! Some finished all of DCC, HWDWM, and Primal Hunter. Kids who never read were voraciously devouring books. We need to do something about this Literacy crisis like yesterday… so for f*ck’s sake let’s start today. Oh… all of those stats are also real! And terrifying. #litrpg #booktok #literacy #literacymatters #bookrecs
