IYKYK! 🩰 Comment “barre” if you like making your life harder! 🤣🤣 Barre is a ballet-inspired workout that looks easy but is secretly so hard. You’re not just exercising, you’re thinking about posture, alignment, form, and intentionally activating the right muscles, creating a powerful mind-body connection. That combination brings your muscles to fatigue, helping build strength and lean muscle while improving the way you move and carry your body. If you’ve never tried it, I have a beginner and gentle barre series in my @Barre Definition app and you can start with a free week.

1. I stopped thinking I needed to die on a treadmill in order to get the body I wanted. More intensity wasn’t the answer. Consistent strength, barre, Pilates, and walking worked better because I wasn’t exhausted and allowed me to comfortably be in a slight calorie deficit. 2. I traded steps in for cardio. Walking won’t exhaust you, and make you hungrier. Instead it will burn calories, improve fat loss, and decrease stress. I got 8-10k consistently and loved it. 3. I ate WAY more protein than I ever had. This helped me have zero cravings, and I never felt hungry. It was a great feeling to finally feel satisfied while losing weight. It also helped me keep and build lean muscle while losing fat, which is KEY to not AGING yourself while losing weight. You need muscle on your body to stay feeling and looking young. 4. I stopped “eating healthy” and started paying attention to how much I was eating. You can eat incredibly clean and still not be in the calorie deficit needed to lose those last few pounds. Portions for your height and weight mattered. 5. I stopped chasing ab workouts and started rebuilding my core. After having my baby, consistent Pilates helped me reconnect with my deep core and pelvic floor and rebuild strength after prolapse. Once I restored that foundation, I could actually train my abs effectively again, and that made a huge difference in seeing definition. (My AB REHAB program guides you to restore your core postpartum, found in my @Barre Definition 6. Bonus lesson: real weight loss takes time. The first month I saw barely any progress. It took about 2 months to see any change. You might see all your friends on a GLP-1 rapidly lose weight, but when you learn how to lose weight naturally you know how to keep it off too. And it’s a way better feeling IMO!

After having a baby I wondered if my abs would ever be ok again 😂 and with consistency and time, I got them back, and they’re even stronger than before! 💪 Try this routine 3x/week. Remember to exhale on the exertion of the exercise. 😮‍💨 I have an entire postnatal core recovery program called AB REHAB in my @Barre Definition Start with a free week and let’s train together 🫶🏼

🔥 Hot take: you don’t need to lift heavy weights to build muscle and get defined arms. Doing higher reps with lighter weights will still stimulate muscle growth in your upper body. Try this sequence a 2-4x/week, and do each move for 1 minute, or until you reach fatigue. This will grow muscle, strengthen, and define your arms. 💪 Im using 3lbs here, but you can use anywhere from 1-8lbs depending on your level. If your knees bother you, then do the exercises standing. Many more workouts like this in my @Barre Definition where you can start with a free week and join our community of motivated women 🫶🏼

These ballet inspired moves are the BEST for toning thighs. 🩰 My thighs tend to bulk if I use too much weight so if you’re the same then try these bodyweight exercises that are so effective and fun to do! They’re also great for balance, coordination and Plus some added upper body work with the light hand weight. Do each move for 1 minute. My @Barre Definition app has 1000’s of Barre workouts for you to try! Start with a free week and join our community 🫶🏼

These 4 pilates exercises will change your life! Add them to your routine today for deep core engagement and a more defined waist. 🔥 Your breath is importantly for engaging the deep core and pelvic floor, so in each exercise make sure you EXHALE at the highest point of exertion. 1. Exhale as you press lower back to spine, lift pelvic floor, and wrap lower core 2. Exhale as your bring the knee in, inhale on the extension 3. Exhale as you bring each knee in, inhale on the switch 4. Exhale as you slice across, inhale as you extend arm & leg Get toned, build muscle, and feel strong by joining my @Barre Definition app, a women’s barre & pilates home workout app - where I lead you through every breath and movement for optimal results. Start with a free week!

I love this effective travel glute routine. 🍑 Do each move for 45 seconds each leg, for 2 rounds. That’s about 12 minutes of work, and then you’re ready for the pool 💦 I just released a 14-Day Travel Plan in my @barredefinition app with 20-30 min no equipment workouts for your next vacay. Do wnload the app and start with a free week! 🔥
