𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐢𝐝 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 👇 This was my third aid station at Twisted Branch 100K. In and out in under 90 seconds. A good crew doesn’t just hand you things. They eliminate decisions. A few things that make our stops work: 𝟏. 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞. Alexa already knows what I should be eating, drinking, carrying, and replacing at each stop. 𝟐. 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐰 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Instead of me trying to remember everything, she’s asking the questions: flasks, gels, trash, sunglasses, Body Glide, chapstick, how I’m feeling, etc. 𝟑. 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞. We talked through the race plan ahead of time so most questions only need a yes/no or quick answer. 𝟒. 𝐔𝐬𝐞 𝐚 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭. When you’re tired, you’re going to forget things. Your crew shouldn’t have to rely on memory either. 𝟓. 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤. Bottles are being swapped, trash is coming out, nutrition is going in, and we’re talking at the same time. The longer the race, the worse your decision-making gets. A prepared crew gives you fewer things to think about and gets you back on trail faster. And yes, having @lexajovanovic absolutely crushing it makes this significantly easier 😂 𝐒𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐫𝐚. #UltraMarathon #UltraCrew #TrailRunning #UltrAspireAthlete #TeamInjinji

𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗠𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗦 - 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟯:𝟮𝟬:𝟬𝟬 🥉 10 months ago I signed up for my first 100 mile race. A personal challenge that I had been thinking about for years. I hoped to maybe make the top 10 and in the dreams I never spoke out loud I wished to make podium. I am still in shock that this actually happened. I spent all of 2026 working hard, putting in the miles, competing in shorter races, hiking, running, lifting, all so that I could step on to the course knowing that I was ready to see what I was truly capable of. The Midstate Massive Ultra did not disappoint. What an incredibly well organized event and a beautiful (yet challenging) course to go after the 100 mile distance. Running 100 miles is a team effort, and none of this would have been possible without my amazing crew. I am so incredibly thankful for the love and support they showed me throughout the race. My wife Alexa met me at every crewed aid station, making sure I had all the food, fuel, and gear I needed at the right times so I was always prepared out on the course. My best friend and fellow trail runner Nick paced me from mile 61 through 89, keeping me moving, positive, and on course for 6 hours through the night. I can't wait to return the favor when Nick runs his first 100 in two weeks. Also a huge shout-out to my teammates at Injinji and @UltrAspire. I've been using both of these brands for years to get me through these adventures. The right gear is crucial to performing at these races. 5 Ultras down in 2026 and I'm not stopping. So excited to see what's next and just how far I can go. #UltraRunning #100MileRace #TrailRunning #TeamInjinji #UltrAspire
