Ding Dong! MeMaw! 🛎️ It’s FriYAY and boy do we have a good one for you! Our local nursing and rehab facility is hosting an Alzheimer’s awareness event soon and they wanted t-shirts. An anonymous donor overheard their conversation about the invoice, and paid it in full! 🙌🏻 People are doing wonderfully kind things all around us! 🩷

Ding Dong! MeMaw! 🛎️ Meet Fran, our 26’ conveyor dryer. (Do y’all name your equipment?😂) She’s been in service to the screen printing industry and The Shack since 2000. She is a faithful and dependable team member, but MeMaw is plotting to replace her with a new one next year. Our new baby, Simba, will serve as backup if she gives up the ghost before the new one is installed. 🫡 Though storms may come, the presses here will keep on spinning!

Replying to @Zack Rutland Ding Dong! MeMaw! 🛎️ In Part One I taught you how to center a 5-panel cap. In Part Two let’s test out the design. I know it seems like overkill to use caps for testing, but there’s really no way to know how a design is going to perform unless you’re stitching on a similar surface to what your customer has ordered. In embroidery, details matter! And details are what separate professionals from amateurs and hobbyists. Turns out, your grandma was right all along! A job worth doing, is worth doing right! 😉

Ding Dong! MeMaw! 🛎️ My favorite is on the screen printing press today - CMYK on anything other than white! I know it breaks the rules, because you’re supposed to only print CMYK on white, but when you change that background color (aka the t-shirt color) AMAZING things happen to your design! Watch how this design comes to life on a variety of colors!
