The key to this whole goal is curiosity. Curiosity is the biggest driver of your passions. If you care enough to get out of bed and find out more you’re already halfway there. Once you start seeing content and information as useful / interesting to you, then you will find trash as being trash, it becomes less inspiring and you actively have more energy to pursue what you want to do. My biggest revelation was absolutely the thought of ‘don’t think just do’, stopping the procrastination between every task and just doing stuff, it doesn’t matter exactly what all the time but an hour spent rotting is an hour you won’t get back. Do something you’d actually like to do, anything! There’s lots more videos I would like to make about this topic and this is really just introducing the theme but I’ll try and break down some strategies I use to benefit from what I’m taking in:) it’s something that I absolutely geek out on I love when learning becomes fun #learning #studying #reading #productivity #booktok

A common place notebook is the embodiement of the idea ‘the art of noticing’ picking up everything around you and appreciating it. And it’ll massively help in your wider learning and character development, plus you look cool.. definitely recommend:) #journalling #journal #booktok #books #journalsetup #commonplacebook #productivity #selfdiscovery #learning #study #organisation #writing #foru #foryou #fypシ゚

#ad I’ve been trying to wake my mind up a little more gently in the mornings rather than going straight into emails or scrolling. Recently I’ve been playing Mini Cogs! It’s a simple word puzzle that I really like, takes me a couple of minutes to do and gets me in the right head space before I crack on with my work. It’s become an important part of my morning routine, I think you should try it out. It’s free to access online, go check it out at the link in my bio. #MiniCogs #Puzzle #WordGames #MiniCogsChallenge

Ad | 3 of my favourite philosophical novels available on Kindle Unlimited White Nights by Dostoevsky - you know this is one of my favourites, a depressingly brilliant romance / existentialist novel that captures the story of 2 people who should never have met finding themselves bouncing around each other's worlds and minds. The Dreamer and Nastenka are 2 of my favourite characters ever. 1984 by George Orwell - this book is famous for a reason, the whole idea of big brother watching was from this book. A dystopian society that shares a scary amount of traits with the one we currently inhabit, an incredible book that really makes you examine trust, assumption, reality and legality. The Trial by Franz Kafka - Kafka is one of my favourite authors. He can write in a way that leaves you completely confused but somehow totally inspired. A man is charged with a crime but in his mission to understand his guilt or lack of, he finds his reality a maze as he moves from question to question: truth, guilt, conscience and again like 1984 the ‘system’. The phrase that has seen me through all things good and bad, as an unemotional zombie, philosophies like this help me keep a slightly broader outlook on the world and where my lack of emotional feelings fail me my internal appreciation or curiosity in everything seems to carry me through and give me this sense of positive and negative. I love it. I loved the way it sounded when I was a kid, I loved the idea of being a grumpy English man saying c’est la vie to the least convenient circumstances almost like a caricature and now I have become that old man haha. #cestlavie #philosophy #positivity #british #booktok

A life update I suppose, felt like I needed to just dump this and clear my head before I get back to posting normally. It’s been a weird ride this last year and I want to thank you all for your support and honestly the lovely messages really did change my bad days to good days:) I burnt myself out working far too much and well some unresolved traumas seemed to finally decide to get the better of me and I decided to live in denial and self medicate to keep going.. spoiler alert that doesn’t work and it’s not healthy! Back on track, learnt far more than I expected and I feel like I’m coming out of it physically exhausted but with a tough brain and a spark slowly starting to reignite, don’t regret a thing and I will continue to live by the mantras ‘C’est la vie’ & God is good. I am most happy when I am just ridiculously busy and excited by everything. Can’t wait to get everything back in action, book club is nearly ready to launch, journal business is rebranding with exciting new products coming, developing a productivity app to go alongside the journal and store your digital brain as well as handbook for designing your own structure, book store and publishing house are also in the works which I am unbelievably excited for! Hope you’re having a fantastic day and all is well with you x #lifeupdate #traumatok #gettingbetter #booktok #british
