On September 11th, 2001, every bridge, tunnel, and subway in Manhattan shut down at once, causing half a million people to be stranded on an island covered in dust and smoke with no way out except across the water. The Coast Guard put out an open radio call asking anyone available to help. Within minutes, more than 150 vessels converged on Lower Manhattan. Coast Guard cutters, NYPD boats, dinner cruise ships, tugboats, private yachts, fishing boats. Captains who had never done anything like this and no training, heading toward the smoke to save their fellow New Yorkers. In less than 9 hours, they moved between 500,000 and 750,000 people off Manhattan. This is now the largest maritime evacuation in history. Larger than Dunkirk, which evacuated 338,000 soldiers over 9 days. This happened in 9 hours. By people who simply showed up during a time of need. After 25 years of remembering 9/11, let’s remember the humanity shown on that day for one another and continue to live that every single day. Please go watch: Boatlift An Untold Tale of 9/11 Resilience. I believe it’s free on YouTube! #911anniversary #twintowers #didyouknow #neverforget

Ahhhh!!! It is an absolutely tantalizing thought that the Voynich Manuscript could’ve been written by women for women. This is LITERALLY the definition of girl code 💅 It makes total sense given the subject matter and this isn’t a new line of thinking. People have hypothesized for decades that this was likely a women’s health medical compendium of some kind. But what really brought this convo back to the forefront was a viral TikTok of a woman who added her menstrual fluid to moon water, which subsequently grew a fern-like plant. A plant that looks very similar to some of the plants in the Voynich Manuscript If you’ve been following my women’s health series then you are no stranger to the fact that our menstrual fluid is truly like no other biological substance on the planet. It doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that the proteins and compounds in menstrual fluid could create plants since it can quite literally create life from scratch It would be so delicious to discover that the Voynich Manuscript was indeed written by women for women. Even if that isn’t the case, this book is clearly connected to women. So much knowledge locked away front in front of our eyes. It would be incredible to see this decoded in our lifetime as it’s so rare to have insight into ancestral wisdom of women’s health. This is perfect timing because I’m actually covering the Voynich Manuscript on my podcast, Hidden History, this Monday! Definitely go check out that episode if you want the full breakdown on what this manuscript is and everything we know about it #voynichmanuscript #ancienthistory #womenshealth #period #unsolvedmysteries

This archaeological site in North America is what finally forced scientists to accept that people were in the Americas a lot earlier than they thought There are older sites in the Americas but these footprints tell a story that is unlike any other archaeological site in the US. It’s a snapshot in time and into a life 23,000 years ago This is part of my Office Hours series, stuff they don’t teach you in school! Make sure you’re subscribed to our YT channel, so you don’t miss the DINOSAUR of a video we’re dropping at the end of the month! #archaeology #ancienthistory #nationalpark

This shouldn't exist. Point blank. Every model of this ecosystem 20,000 years ago says the Beartooth Mountains, just outside of Yellowstone, was buried under a thick glacier that was nearly 4,000 feet thick. No ancient human activity should exist here. Then archaeologist, Scott Dersam, ran soil tests and found that the dirt had been exposed to sun right when the ice should've been at its deepest. How is that possible? That was only the start of what they uncovered. All this information was sourced from an incredible article from the Montana Free Press written by Nick Mott. This snake cave has been all over my FYP as well as the snake eye and three whale rock. The wildest part is that all three of these formations are found in the same rural province in Thailand It’s one of the least visited placed in the country yet it sits on the most geologically and mythologically exciting landscapes in all of SE Asia Who thinks the locals are right and this is actually a petrified Titanoboa? #thailand #cave #geology #mythology

What does a dinosaur actually feel like? We don’t have frozen dinosaur mummies like we do woolly mammoths. There’s no ice that old. But we do have something maybe stranger? A paper thin clay mask that formed over a dinosaur’s skin within hours of its death and stayed for 66 million years. Now we know what at least this dinosaur felt like #dinosaurs #archaeology #paleontology

This might be one of the most controversial archaeological sites, but potentially the most groundbreaking if true. Have you heard of the Cerutti Mastodon site in San Diego? I was born and raised there and had NO clue about this. Make sure you’re following my YT channel for our big dinosaur video at the end of this month! #sandiego #paleontology #archaeology #iceage

Replying to @christine_ann1111 Amelia Earhart was sending out distressing radio medsages crying out for help long after she was confirmed “missing”. This is a deep dive into 2 research papers that believe they found evidence that shows what actually happened to her. #ameliaearhart #unsolvedmysteries #truecrime #aviation #historytime

A 2 million year long storm built the dinosaurs. Around 232 million years ago, during the Triassic Period, the skies opened up and unleashed intense rain on and off for nearly two million years. It’s called the Carnian Pluvial Event. Before all this rain, dinosaurs were just a minor group of animals. But the 2-million-year rain totally changed the ecosystem of our planet, wiping out the dominant species of the time and allowing dinosaurs to become the main characters 💅 Did a massive climate change give us the dinosaurs? It’s one reason for sure and millions of years later it would also be their downfall. How did the dinosaurs really die? Well, it might not be the asteroid story we were all told…that video drops tomorrow on my YT channel. Make sure you’re subscribed. #dinosaurs #paleontology #didyouknow #mindblown
