The mesmerising process of Shinnosuke Hariya Shinnosuke Hariya is a contemporary Japanese artist based in Tokyo, known for his hyper-detailed graphite drawings that reinterpret iconic characters from global pop culture. Working primarily in pencil, Hariya blurs the line between realism and fantasy, transforming flat, familiar figures into intricate, three-dimensional forms. His work often plays with surreal distortions — adding extra eyes, twisting proportions, or manipulating expression — creating a visual tension that invites deeper reflection on identity, nostalgia, and transformation. Shinnosuke Hariya’s work will be shown as part of ELEVATE, our collaborative exhibition with thinkspace gallery featuring 100 contemporary artworks.
