Can Daniel explain Maria's PhD thesis in Biomedical Engineering? Daniel and Maria first met in the University of Glasgow's Biomedical Engineering community, where Maria supervised Daniel's master's project as part of the same research group. The group became close-knit over weekly Friday trips for gyros, and when it came time for Daniel to submit his master's project, everyone stayed late to support him right up to the deadline. Since then, Maria has gone on to launch NEUROBITE, a University of Glasgow spin-out company emerging from the meLAB (Microelectronics Lab), combining cutting-edge research with real-world impact. From master's projects to PhD research and entrepreneurship, their story is a great example of the collaborative community that helps University of Glasgow students and researchers thrive. We wish Daniel and Maria every success in the future. #engineering #universityofglasgow #worldchangers #biomedical #graduation

Can James’ partner describe his dissertation? Graduation is a chance to celebrate years of hard work, determination and achievement. It’s also a day for family and friends to celebrate alongside you. For many students, those closest to them have been part of the journey too- offering encouragement, listening to ideas and, in some cases, proofreading a dissertation more than once, even when they’re not entirely sure what it’s about. Luckily, James’ partner did a pretty impressive job explaining his dissertation. After graduating, James has continued his academic journey and is now undertaking a PhD with the James Watt School of Engineering at the University of Glasgow. Congratulations to James on this exciting next step, and we wish him every success in his research. #glasgowuni #engineering #graduate #alumni
