Looking for your next favourite Perth walk? 🌿 This 5.5km riverside loop has it all: cliffside views, shady reserves, leafy streets and a coffee stop worth the detour. It's part of the Wardun Beelier Bidi, a 17km trail linking the Indian Ocean to the Swan River, and this shorter loop is the perfect bite-sized version. Expect heritage sites, elevated boardwalks, peppermint groves, native bush and spectacular river lookouts. Interpretive signs along the way are worth a pause. The path is paved and family-friendly, with around 3.5km beside the Swan and the rest looping back through Mosman Park's leafy streets. 📍 THE ROUTE: Park at Chidley Point Reserve. Got time? Take the steps down to Chidley Beach, a hidden slice of river paradise. Walk along Downey Drive to the Point Roe Park trail entrance on your left (look for the huge palms). This area has history, with a ferry running by 1833 and a sugar refinery operating for 60 years. On your right, Russell Brown Adventure Park has a shady duck pond, a nature playground and a bird hide. Follow the river trail to Minim Cove, home to some of the Colony's earliest limestone quarrying and once a fertiliser factory site. Take the steps on your left down to Minim Cove Jetty, a sheltered little beach. The limestone cliffs are covered in daisies right now. 🌼 Continue to Garungup Park, head up the steps and turn right onto McCabe Street.
Loop back: left on Palmerston Street, then right on Wellington Street.
☕ Coffee stop: we shared cake and coffee at Simply Beautiful Biscuits. Delicious! Stay on Wellington Street back to Chidley Point Reserve. 🐶 Dogs welcome on a leash 🚻 Toilets and playgrounds en route Tag a mate and plan your next scenic stroll! 🚶‍♀️🌿 . . . . . . #Perth #perthtodo #perthfitness #morningwalk #perthfitfam

This new Perth neighbourhood café will surprise you! 👀☕️ @Senso Espresso is now open at Hawaiians Newpark in Girrawheen, and we've just been in for a taste test - and there's plenty to love! Unlike the big chains you'll find in shopping centres across Perth, Senso Espresso is locally owned and run. They started in Midland and have grown to five cafés, with Girrawheen added to the list (alongside Carousel, Booragoon and Joondalup). Expect Toby Estate coffee, a cabinet of sweet treats, grab & go toasties and a big all-day menu of freshly cooked meals. Perfect for brunch, lunch or a catch-up with friends. Here's what we tried 🍽️ 🍳 Eggs Benedict on Potato Rosti: house-made rosti, grilled halloumi and broccolini, poached eggs, hollandaise and fried capers (we went smoked salmon) 🥑 Complicated Avo Smash: beetroot puree, smashed avo, roquette, sundried tomato, feta and seeds on ciabatta 🥓 Thick-cut Glazed Bacon on Scram: scrambled eggs, sticky chilli glazed bacon, ciabatta. Trust us on this one! 🍝 Signature "Bangkok Pasta": a Tom Yum seafood pasta loaded with prawns ☕ Salted Cream Latte, Coconut Matcha, a flat white and a pot of tea There's also cold pressed juice, iced drinks, frappes and milkshakes, plus a great value kids menu, so the whole family is covered. And if you need an excuse to visit this weekend, the opening offers are hard to resist 👇 🎁 Free regular coffee for the first 50 customers each morning, until Mon 19 Oct. Get in early! 🎁 15% off Bangkok Pasta all opening week (until Mon 19 Oct) 🎁 Revo members get 5% off all year round. Just show your pass at the counter! 📍 Hawaiians Newpark, 64 Marangaroo Dr, Girrawheen . . . . . #perthfood #perthcafe #perth #perthbrunch #perthlife

Pink isn’t just a colour on the Coral Coast, it’s a whole lake. 🩷 Only in Western Australia is a bubblegum-pink lake a “quick stop” on the way to somewhere equally unreal. Turquoise ocean, red gorges, pink lake... we really do live in a state that likes to show off. 💕 If you’re a Perth Local - be honest - when did you last actually stop at Hutt Lagoon on WA’s Coral Coast? For most of us it’s a blur. A quick pull-over on the way to Kalbarri, a photo through the windscreen, back on the highway. It’s worth more than a drive-by, even if you think you’ve already “done it”. Here’s what’s you need to know: 🌸 Why it’s pink: a microalgae called Dunaliella salina produces beta-carotene. The same stuff harvested here ends up in food colouring and supplements. ☀️ Go between 10am and 2pm on a sunny day for peak colour. 📍 Park at the Pink Lake Lookout on Port Gregory Road. Walk down to the edge (wear shoes, the salt crust is sharp!). 🚁 See it differently: take a buggy tour or a scenic flight from Geraldton or Kalbarri, to see the pink against the green and turquoise. 🏖️ Make a day of it in Port Gregory, just down the road, for a picnic, a pelican spot or a fish. It’s about 5 hours north of Perth and 45 mins south of Kalbarri, so it’s the perfect leg-stretcher on your next road trip north. 🚗 👇 What’s your top tip for visiting Hutt Lagoon? Locals, we want to hear it! . . . . . . #HuttLagoon #PinkLake #WesternAustralia #coralcoast #perthlife
