I had the privilege of challenging some of the best people I know—my coworkers. Working alongside this team every day, I get to see firsthand how each of them goes above and beyond for the families of fallen firefighters. They do this heavy, vital work because they truly care. Today, they climbed to honor the 343 FDNY firefighters and all the heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Now, we’re asking America to join us. Twenty-five years ago, 343 FDNY firefighters climbed into the World Trade Center to save others. They climbed toward danger with unmatched courage, and they never came home. For decades, the fire service has climbed to remember them. This year, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is inviting everyone to join the movement. How you can participate in the #ForThe343 campaign: 🧗 Climb: Climb at least one flight of stairs, anywhere, in honor of the fallen. 📝 Record: Log your flight at ForThe343.org. 📸 Share & Challenge: Share your tribute photo or video and challenge three others to do the same! Every flight will be counted as our nation comes together to symbolically finish their climb. Take the first step with us today. Honor the 343. Remember the fallen. #ForThe343 #FireService #september112001 #firefightertiktok

Two firefighters returned to the National Emergency Training Center in Emmitsburg, Maryland, to take a class at the National Fire Academy. But this visit meant so much more than training. The NETC campus is also home to the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial, where their father and grandfather are honored. ❤️ Apparatus Operator Joseph Grace — honored in 2000 ❤️ Chief Fred Broussard — honored in 2010 We’re honored to hear their stories, learn more about the men they were, and hear what it means for their family to return to the Memorial and see their names. Let’s hear more about their father, Apparatus Operator Joseph Grace, and their grandfather, Chief Fred Broussard—and the legacy they left behind. Their service may have ended, but their legacy lives on. 🇺🇸🔥 #nationalfallenfirefightersfoundation #lineofduty #NeverForget #FireService

Where were you on 9/11? I was in sixth grade, just outside of Washington, D.C., sitting in my computer class when everything changed. I remember being told to get under our desks, not fully understanding what was happening or why we were being told to hide. Now, 25 years later, I find myself in a place I never could have imagined — working for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation at the National Emergency Training Center and the National Fire Academy. Today, we came together as one to remember the lives lost on September 11th and to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice. We were honored to have Eriks Gabliks and U.S. Fire Administrator Paul Matheis join the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation as we remembered those who sacrificed everything that day. Twenty-five years later, the memories may look different, but the meaning remains the same. We carry their stories, honor their sacrifice, and keep their memories alive for generations to come. We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸 #9/11 #fdny #neverforget #lineofduty
