Happy Sunday ☀️ things feel a lot more settled here now we’ve had a break from the heat waves and enjoyed a good few rainy days. I may even do some gardening today 🌱 #cottage #home #garden #pets #relaxing

Reasons we keep runner ducks in our garden 🦆🌷 there are loads more pros (and cons!) so obviously do your own research if you are thinking of welcoming ducks into your garden. #ducks #runnerducks #cottagecore #cottagegarden #calm

I don’t always manage it but a slower pace is the goal ❤️ some assorted moments from the cottage and garden. The ducks are currently moulting so they’re not interested in doing very much and they look a bit of a mess. 🦆 #home #cottage #ducks #pets #calm

The transition from summer to autumn from our cottage and garden. Slowly getting more into gardening again now after a season of avoiding it due to the drought. Thankfully the polytunnel has done fine without my input (it is irrigated and heavily mulched) so there have been plenty of tomatoes to come back to. And some huge squashes in the making. They always seem to do well in there. 🌱☀️ #garden #cottage #home #ducks #autumn

Hello and happy Sunday! With just four days to go until Growing: A Year of Living and Nurturing with the Seasons is out in the world, I wanted to properly introduce it. It’s hard to sum up a whole book in a reel, but here’s a glimpse of what you’ll find inside—practical sections on keeping ducks, creating a wildlife-friendly garden, planting bulbs for beautiful spring displays, and growing food and flowers in a cottage garden style. Beyond the practicals, this book also gave me space to reflect on why I garden and how it has become a central pillar of my wellbeing as an autistic adult. I hope it brings readers that same sense of calm. Preorder via the link in my bio—ordering now means a copy will likely arrive on your doorstep on publication day as it’s just around the corner (March 6th)! #cottage #garden #ducks #runnerducks #gardensoftiktok #cottagecore #cottagegarden #booktok

Things you’ll find in my wildlife friendly garden. Long grass and wild areas (including weeds and some very messy areas and piles of old logs, stones and moss), natural pest controls (ducks, companion planting and polyculture), plants for pollinators (a mix of native and non native species to extend the flowering season), a wildlife pond, and of course the wildlife. Some species we typically see as pests, but largely the creatures work in tandem to keep things in balance. Wishing you a lovely weekend. ☀️ #cottagegarden #garden #wildlife #cottagecore #slowliving #gardeninspiration

Was very happy with my basket of tomatoes from the garden this week (second clip). Still loads more to harvest before I tidy the garden up for winter. The asters are at their best at the moment, and some perennial sunflowers, dahlias and other colourful things. The ducks are more energetic as they’ve finished their moult. Have a lovely Sunday. 🌻 #garden #ducks #calm #cottage #home

Home sweet home. The ducks are regaining their energy now they’ve finished their moult. Last few baskets of tomatoes from the polytunnel, waiting for squashes to ripen and there are newts absolutely everywhere. Almost witchy season 🐈‍⬛✨ #cottage #home #garden #pets #runnerducks

AD Aaron and I had a magical morning exploring Tintagel Castle with @English Heritage. It’s been just over a decade since we last visited, and the impressive footbridge that connects the mainland to the headland was new to us. It follows the route of the medieval crossing that would once have connected the two sides of Tintagel. The breathtaking coastal scenery and castle ruins were just as we remembered them. On the headland you’ll find the remains of small rectangular buildings from the 5th–7th centuries, when Tintagel was an important stronghold and trading centre with links to the Mediterranean. Centuries later came the tales of King Arthur, with the 12th-century writer Geoffrey of Monmouth naming Tintagel as the place where Arthur was conceived. The legend was so powerful that it may have even inspired Richard, Earl of Cornwall, to build his own castle here in the 1230s. Such an incredible spot to visit. We got lucky with some glowy sunshine during golden hour, and the beautiful blue hues of the sea. #EnglishHeritage #TintagelCastle #Cornwall #England #Fairytale
