These were once somebody’s pride and joy. Now they’re being dropped in for recycling. Mad how quickly technology moves on! A few old Nokias and iPhones came into us a few days ago. We haven’t checked whether they still work, but I always enjoy looking back at the phones people once queued up to buy. Some of these were a very big deal in their day. We also had an iPad dropped in with a badly swollen battery. Old batteries can deteriorate even when devices aren’t being used, and swelling is something to take seriously. If yours is swollen, stop using or charging it and get advice on handling it safely. We’re all for repairing and maintaining tech for as long as it makes sense. But eventually, some devices reach the end of their useful life, and proper electronics recycling matters too. Have old phones or tablets sitting in a drawer? Pop them into Midleton IT Studios and we’ll arrange to get them recycled properly, rather than ending up in landfill. Which old phone would you love to use again? #MidletonIT #Midleton #OldPhones #TechRecycling #PhoneRepair
