This came out way better than expected 👀 Testing the Einstar 2 3D scanner and this is where things get interesting. Fast scan, solid tracking and surprisingly clean geometry on real-world parts. Still pushing it on smaller components (that’s the real challenge),but for practical use like reverse engineering and custom parts… it’s already super usable. In this test I focused on both the scanning process and the final mesh result, and honestly the workflow feels really solid. 🧠 From text prompt to real 3D print! For this project I wanted to see how far AI generated 3D models have come. Using V2FUN AI, I started with a simple text prompt, generated concept images, created multi-view references, and converted everything into a complete 3D model. The most impressive part? No manual modeling, no geometry fixes, and no post-processing on the digital model. I exported the file, added supports in the slicer, and sent it straight to my resin printer. 🧸🦖 What happens when you combine Totoro and Godzilla into a single character? For this project, I wanted to test how far AI-generated 3D models can go by creating a mashup between two iconic creatures. Using @Hi3D , I started with a simple text prompt and generated a series of concept images until I found the design I was looking for. From there, I created multi-view references and converted them into a complete 3D model. The most surprising part? The entire workflow required virtually no traditional 3D modeling. Once the model was ready, I exported it, added supports in the slicer, and sent it directly to my resin printer. Our cat Einstein had a simple mission: steal Grace's food whenever possible. 😅 Instead of trying to teach him some manners, I decided to engineer a solution. I scanned the feeder, reverse engineered the geometry and designed a privacy cover that allows Grace to eat comfortably while preventing unwanted raids from the side and from above.
