Kids want to learn and play, and often those things happen at the same time. We LOVE to combine physical play with nursery rhymes and songs to make them more engaging! How do you like our version of B-I-N-G-O? (Yes we know it’s backwards, but after much practice it just flows better this way🤪) What are your kids favorite nursery rhymes? Do you have your own versions of them you do at home? If you want to see what other physical play versions of songs we have, don’t forget to follow us! (The itsy bitsy spider will be next)

Ignore my face — I just woke up. 😴🫩 I get extra annoyed at people who’s arguments are “well they’re going to use computers at school!” and “you can’t avoid screens forever!” 😡 I’m not trying to raise my kids to be Amish. I’m trying to avoid unnecessary screen use during their formative years. I LOVE video games. I also love watching movies as a family. And we incorporate both of those things as COLLABORATIVE activities. BUT. We do not want our children to have private devices that allows them instant gratification and the constant switching between shows or games. When they get a little older, they can have a Gameboy or something like it. Handheld but limited to a few games. Something to play. With puzzles and problem solving. But none of this high stimulation Ms Rachel crap. 🙃 What sort of things do you do to incorporate safe limits for your children?

Is this the right thing to do here? I’ve had a lot of success with this method (I don’t know if there’s a word for it) but I’m curious what other methods there are! I’ve also done the thing where I point to or touch the area on my mouth/tongue that the sound is coming from.
