Starting my own business was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I was horrible at school, never got good grades, constantly butted heads with authority, and honestly don’t think I ever had a teacher who particularly liked me. At one point, I was even sent to boarding school. If someone had told that version of me that one day I’d make a living creating art and that people all over the world would connect with something I made with my own hands - I wouldn’t have believed it. The road here wasn’t exactly smooth. Right before becoming a full-time artist, I took one of the biggest risks of my life and moved across the world only to fail and come back with no home, no job, no real plan and honestly, nothing to fall back on. I think about that version and all the other versions of me a lot. Then I stop and remember that the life I’m casually rushing through now is a life my younger self never could have imagined. Never forget to look around and be proud of how far you’ve come and to celebrate all the wins including the tiny ones. If I’m fortunate enough to keep living this dream, I will take it as far as I can🩵💫 #businessowner #womeninbusiness #businessmindset #artistlife #artist
