Steph is growing rather tired of Eleanor’s late night letter writing ✍️ 💛🩵 Steph raised Eleanor! She was initially her nanny and as Eleanor grew up her parents saw how much Steph was a calming presence on their troubled daughter. Eleanor always considered Steph her true mother, as her biological one became practically absent and cold after Eleanor’s late older brother’s death. Eventually Steph ups and leaves with Eleanor to flee the country with her and Asra’s associates! Ultimately though, Steph is the voice of reason and eventually insists that Eleanor stops her letters to Asra after he went missing many years ago. Steph ultimately had to make the call that her obsession with writing to Asra with no answer was making her miserable, Steph couldn’t watch Eleanor deteriorate like that, so she pulled the plug. #devouii #webcomic #dtiys #artistsoninstagram #webtoon #art #comic #avowinviolet #oc #originalcharacter #BookTok #animation #animatic

I hope you enjoy the end 😼 Context!: These are two childhood friends reunited after 7 years after Asra (The taller fella) disappeared, Eleanor (The glowing gal) wrote a letter to him everyday week of every year without him. Due to her foresight causing seizure-like episodes, she hasn’t managed the courage to search for him until now, though he looks a bit different now… Asra is trans 🏳️‍⚧️!! #oc #originalcharacter #booktok #animation #webtoon #animatic #artistsoftiktok #artist #cute #dnd #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #comic #superhero #devouii #Avowinviolet

Dw, she’s fine. She’ll get through it. 🧍 🩵🪻💛 This one was PAINFUL to make. Partially because it took me so long to make along with uni deadlines but also because the video is longer than i normally make haha. The story behind this video is meant to show the aftermath of Asra’s absence of 7 years, after he was classed as missing by his family, and how this therefore affects Eleanor in both past and present. There’s a guilt that Eleanor feels for her resentment towards Asra after discovering that he was safe and somewhat content the whole time he was ‘missing’, demonstrated by the merry tavern nights he has with his friends, feeling like she should be glad that Asra was safe for those 7 years. But for those 7 years she was in pain. Pain of not knowing if Asra was safe, sane or if he had just abandoned the (childish) idea of Eleanor and Asra running away together. #devouii #webcomic #dtiys #art #avowinviolet #artistsoninstagram #comic #webtoon #oc #dtiy

Eleanor’s confusion and doubt… 🩵🪻💛 Eleanor’s mother, Rosanna, is a complex character within ‘A vow in violet’. She is a woman whose whole attitude is built on the fact she needs to survive. Lavaria is not the kindest in regards to women and therefore has built up these walls in order to protect herself, now that she has children she feels the need to protect them but goes about it the wrong way. So stuck in the ways that Lavaria has been doing things, she shuts down any bubbling thoughts and hope that Eleanor may have in her youth, this being depicted by her harmless interest in Asra. Lavaria does not recognise same sex relationships. Therefore Rosanna won’t accept Eleanor even prompting the idea of altering her predetermined engagement to Zelal to be instead an engagement to (at the time) Princess Asra. Luckily for Eleanor, her ideas, her free-thinking and ambition is nurtured by her handmaid Steph, who she then recognises as more of a maternal figure than Rosanna ever was. #avowinviolet #devouii #art #webcomic #dtiys #artistsoninstagram #webtoon #comic #dtiy #oc #originalcharacter #dnd

Asra knows don’t worry Eleanor. 🩵💛😭 ————————— This video captures the time right before Asra disappeared from Eleanor’s life without word or warning. They are around 15-16 years old in this and this is before Asra socially transitioned into a man. 🏳️‍⚧️ The two of them were somewhat in denial of their affections towards one another as they both knew it was ‘wrong’ considering Eleanor was already engaged to Zelal (Asra’s older brother) and has been since she was about 9 years old. Asra loved to crash Eleanor’s and Zelal’s mandatory dates, an effort to make the two grow more attached to one another before they were to be married, as Asra knew Eleanor loathed the time spent with Zelal considering his disinterested and above it all attitude. GRAHHH!! I love young confused love, Eleanor’s confused yet affectionate face at the end always gets me GRAHHH!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️ #devouii #webtoon #webcomic #dtiys #artistsoninstagram #art #comic #dtiy #avowinviolet #oc #originalcharacter #booktok #animation #webtoon #animatic

Bro had no clue…he was just flirting. 🧍 - At this moment in the story, Asra had unknowingly stumbled across his childhood friend Eleanor aka The Princess of Lavaria. It had been 7 years since they last saw each other so neither of them recognised one another at first. Because well…they’re idiots. And ya’know. Asra transitioned 🏳️‍⚧️ Eleanor is disguised because well… she doesn’t want to marry Zelal. 🤷‍♀️ So in order to keep identity concealed as she tries to flee her own country, she dresses in the native clothing of another Kingdom known for concealing their appearances on the daily. #oc #originalcharacter #booktok #animation #webtoon #animatic #artistsoftiktok #artist #cute #dnd #fyppppppppppppppppppppppp #comic #knights #Avowinviolet #devouii
