A partial solar eclipse is crossing parts of the northern and northeastern U.S. today, with the Moon covering a portion of the Sun. The eclipse is visible from roughly 26 states, with peak coverage reaching the Northeast around 1:50–1:55 p.m. EDT. Most of the country will see little or no eclipse. ⚠️ Never look directly at the Sun without certified ISO 12312-2 eclipse glasses. Ordinary sunglasses do not provide enough protection, and because there is no total eclipse anywhere in the U.S., eye protection is required throughout the entire event. NASA is also livestreaming the eclipse's path of totality through Iceland, Greenland, Russia, and Spain. #nasa #solareclipse
