Bed bug sniffing dogs, can help inspect many different types of places. When the dogs are first learning this game of finding bed bugs, (because to them all it really is, is a game), will put their training hide in all kinds of places, including the top bunk. This begins teaching the dog, the art of searching!

After Bed Bug Treatment, Do This Remove shed skins, dead bugs, and empty egg casings: so you have a clearer starting point. Otherwise, you might find the same old shell three weeks later and wonder whether treatment failed. Photograph any marks you cannot remove so you can compare later. The timing matters here, too. Ask which areas you can clean without removing or disturbing the treatment. Most PCO’s specifically recommends removing old evidence to help evaluate treatment success. #bedbugs #bedbugcontrol #bedbugshell

When bed bug handlers travel for work, we don’t take chances with our own hotel room. Before unpacking or settling in, the mattresses come up and the dogs go to work. This was a work trip, and thankfully we had no alerts during our room inspection. But our prevention doesn’t stop there. When we get home, our travel clothing and other dryer-safe items will still go through the dryer on high heat. An all-clear is great peace of mind, but we still follow the same prevention routine every time we travel. Better to keep bed bugs as part of the job and not bring them home with us! #bedbugs #howtocheckforbedbugs #workingdog
