Tomorrow is the 20th anniversary of Be. It’s hard to grasp that it was 20 years ago. What Ye was doing was super special, what J Dilla was doing was super special and I am forever grateful to them and everyone who contributed to this album. Be means so much to me because I have had so many different types of people tell me what it means to them. And there is no greater feeling than to have your music mean something. Thank you GOD you are the greatest. In celebration of this album, we have pressed a 2LP translucent yellow marble blend. This limited-edition vinyl includes the original track list on LP 1 and the albums instrumentals on LP 2. The first 750 copies will include a signed print from me of the album cover. We have also released a deluxe version on all streaming services which features the album, instrumentals, and these bonus cuts. Go check it out wherever you listen to music and celebrate 20 years of Be with me. - The Corner (Remix) Feat. Mos Def & Scarface - The Corner (Last Poets Reprise) - Go! (Remix) Feat. Joy Denalane - The Food (Main Version) Feat. Kanye West - So Cool Feat. Sa Ra Love, Rashid

A blessed and Happy Anniversary to Like Water For Chocolate. 25 years ago this album was released. I go back and forth on what’s my favorite album that I have made and this one seems to always be in my top 2. Whether it’s my favorite or not, I do know this album changed my life. It was a rebirth 🙏🏾 #common #likewaterforchocolate #hiphop #hiphopmusic #thinkcommon #thelight #classichiphop #musictiktok🎵

What do you dream about? Me? I dream about my loved ones, family, friends, and people who inspire me (some I know some I don’t). But in my dreams we exist together in this beautiful realm. When I dream I can feel GOD’s blessings upon me and I know anything is possible. I even at times dream of rhymes and songs which I love. I thank the MOST HIGH for allowing me to dream. I want to thank and honor the spirit of Aretha Franklin. And to her family…supreme gratitude for allowing us to sample one of her classics. It really blessed our song and took it up to a higher level. Aretha is one of my favorite artists of all time. GOD Bless her soul. I want to thank our director Raven Jackson for making such a special piece of art. Also Brian “B.Kyle” Atkins for his work through the years which contributed to this piece. And Andre “DreVinci” Jones for his great work which also helped to make this video special. Thanks to all who worked on the crew and all who appeared in the video throughout these steps in time. Wherever we are in life. I encourage us all to keep Dreamin’. Watch the full video for Dreamin’ now at the link in my bio. Love. #blackmusic #dream
