AI isn’t just taking jobs. It’s helping companies create new ones. There’s a lot of fear surrounding AI in the workplace, especially in technology. But there’s another side to the conversation that deserves attention. Companies are using AI to automate repetitive tasks, analyze data faster, improve productivity, and build products that weren’t practical before. As these capabilities expand, organizations also need people who can implement AI, secure it, manage its risks, and ensure it’s being used responsibly. That’s where opportunities are emerging in fields like: 🔹 AI security and governance 🔹 Cybersecurity and risk management 🔹 Cloud engineering and AI infrastructure 🔹 Data analysis and engineering 🔹 AI compliance and regulatory oversight Here’s the important part: AI doesn’t eliminate the need for human judgment, accountability, or security. In many cases, it makes those things even more important. In cybersecurity, for example, organizations still need people who understand threats, assess risk, implement security controls, and verify that systems are operating safely, even when AI is involved. Will AI eliminate some jobs? Absolutely. Will it change how many others are performed? Without a doubt. But the opportunity isn’t necessarily to compete against AI. It’s to learn how to work with it while developing skills that businesses still need. Don’t just ask whether AI will take your job. Ask yourself what new problems AI is creating that you could learn to solve. #Cybersecurity #ArtificialIntelligence #TechCareers #creatorsearchinsights #companiesusingai

Launch week in the Discord was something special. Here's the best of Oct 5-11: 1. Mock Scenario Monday got a full revamp: polls, multiple choice, and a Scenario Squad role. Free reps every week. 2. One member committed to becoming a SOC analyst, then shared a free blue-team resource with everyone. That's what this community is about. 3. A Marine vet starting fresh got welcomed with open arms. Everyone starts at zero here. 1,400+ members and growing. Link in bio to join. #cybersecurity #GRC #infosec #cybercommunity #techeducation

For those of you who are new here, I figured it was time to properly introduce myself. 👋 I’m Tanner, a Senior GRC Analyst with a master’s degree in Cybersecurity Management and a CISSP certification. I work in the governance, risk, and compliance side of cybersecurity, and I enjoy breaking down complex topics into things that are actually easy to understand. I started creating content because getting into cybersecurity can be overwhelming. Between certifications, career paths, experience requirements, and all the different specialties, it’s hard to know where to start. My goal is to share what I’ve learned, talk about the realities of working in cybersecurity, and help make the industry a little less intimidating for those looking to break in or grow their careers. Outside of work, I’m just a guy who enjoys sharing knowledge and connecting with people who are interested in the same field. If you’ve been here for a while, I appreciate you being part of the journey. And if you’re new, welcome! 🤝
