₩₳ⱠⱠ ฿₳ⱠⱠ🎾⚡️ This was how I found my love for baseball as a kid growing up in New York.. ..playing Wall Ball. During the summertime when I wasn’t on a field, my parents both worked jobs and being an only child they had to find somewhere for me to go during the day. That’s where 8 year old Mikey ended up going to summer camp and found a simple game that would lead to so much. One of the best things I felt like I did when I was younger was watching as many MLB games as possible. First reason was to learn as much about the game from seeing the best picture possible. But also seeing how the players moved their bodies to make things happen on the field. How they fielded a ground ball… how they ran around the bases… how they acted… …and how they made different throws. This gave me something to 𝕎𝕒𝕥𝕔𝕙 over and over again. Then go outside with all my energy to Fҽҽʅ it. When I would go play Wall Ball, I just tried to ᎷᎧᏉᏋ like all the Major Leaguers I was watching at the time. Competing against my friends while also having the freedom to just try new things was how I was able to bring those patterns and feelings to the baseball field organically. As I went further along in my career, I started to search and force answers just to advance to the next step. At the time it looked like I was “working hard” but I would say now it was more so me just getting in my own way. I never felt that same freedom I used to when I would throw. I now felt anxiety and doubt. The point I’m getting at with all of this is that I felt most confident in my ability and mental playing baseball when I was a kid and went about “development” in my own way. I was just doing what 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐭 right rather than doing what others said I should do. I’m learning more and more each day that there is no training method, throwing cue, or person that will come save you. You have to follow what your body is feeling, see which people are doing the things you want to do, and go to that environment immediately. #fyp #baseball #mlb #dojo #pitcher #viral #foryou #pitchingtraining #pitchingdrills #arizona
