Cast review comment: Hokum cast review 🎭 Adam Scott is the reason this haunted hotel movie works. The Irish Times says "Scott anchors the film with a performance of prickly restraint," and Variety says he "plays to his strengths as a performer with an ironic demeanor well-versed in deadpan humor." The Guardian calls Ohm "an unexpectedly dark, unsympathetic character," and adds that "David Wilmot entertainingly plays Jerry, the wacky hermit who lives in his van." Viewers on X agree: "Adam Scott gave a hell of a performance" (evolnine) and "Adam Scott is superb! That old witch is terrifying." (marixapanda). Not everyone's sold, though. She works at a body farm, and the newest body is her dad, missing 36 years. 💀 The Cycle hits Shudder this Friday, and Stephen King calls it The Thing meets The Silence of the Lambs. Would you do his autopsy? 👇 #TheCycle #HorrorTok #Shudder #DeborahAnnWoll #FasBytesHorror Cast review comment: The Cycle cast review 🎭 Deborah Ann Woll carries this one. RogerEbert.com says she has "an emotionally complex arc that she handles sans melodrama," Fangoria says "Woll's performance is central to The Cycle's success," and Slashfilm calls her "excellent here, making Meg determined but fragile, liable to crack at any moment." Dread Central calls it "a career-defining performance from Deborah Ann Woll." Fangoria adds that "Jeffrey Donovan's Marks (a cop) and Danika Golombek's Katie (Meg's assistant) are each essential to the film's success." Festival viewers on X agree: "Deborah Ann Woll proves once again she is one of the best actresses working today" (@MamasGeeky). Not everyone loved the film, though. The Guardian found "the hardcore creature-feature stuff is a letdown." Team Woll?
