It’s wild to think I’ve been writing for this original character for over a decade! Ryuketsu Chitose, the Blood Witch. 🩸 🥷🏼🍃 Originally from the Land of Rivers, born into the sovereign Ryuketsu Clan of old traditional and grandeur, destined for political decline. After a blood civil war, Chitose flees to the Land of Fire and claims asylum in Konohagakure. That’s where the real adventure begins. Here are some sketch clips of a two-panel piece, inspired by an image found on Pinterest. The mood literally screamed Chitose. lol I’m hoping to finally work on a fanfic series which will feature her story, alongside other Naruto canon characters and OC’s. Meet Ryuketsu Chitose, my Naruto OC, and one of the main characters I want to write about in my fanfic series. There’s a lot I could say about her. I’ve been developing her character through literary RP for over 10 years. But for now, here’s her backstory of the events that lead her to Konoha. Part one. Chitose was born into the fading grandeur of the Ryuketsu Clan, the youngest child of Ryuketsu Hayase and the late Clan Head, Ryuketsu Ryūichi. Their ancestral seat, Ryūgū-jō, nestled in the Land of Rivers, remained an isolated stronghold of stagnant tradition, an autonomous enclave crumbling beneath the weight of a world it refused to embrace. After her father’s reformist efforts were cut short by his death, the clan’s fragile order unraveled. Her eldest brother, Ryuketsu Ryūga , brilliant yet mentally unstable, became a puppet ruler, manipulated by their calculating uncle Ryuketsu Tatsuya and a council of elders intent on resurrecting a bygone era. The five-year civil war that followed forged Chitose. As her other elder brother, Ryuketsu Tatsuo, led the open rebellion, she became the “intellectual shadow,” within Ryūgū-jō’s walls. While dissecting Tatsuya’s regime like a malignant disease, she identified structural weaknesses and plotted countermeasures. Yet logic could not account for the relentless cruelty born of desperation. On the night of the estate’s fall, Ryūga was assassinated, and Chitose was reduced to a bargaining chip in a ruthless political exchange. What followed was a tactical disaster that Chitose was forced to witness in excruciating detail. Tatsuya violated the peace terms, executing her comrades in a public spectacle. Formally stripped of her rank and sentenced to exile, she was smuggled across the border to the Land of Fire, a living remnant of a rebellion erased from official record.
